If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dr Niteen Dedhia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. COI[edit]

Thanks for your message. It doesn't matter how famous he is, you can't just write what you like here, you have to follow our rules, which judging by the other comments here you haven't read.

Please don't write about him if you have a conflict of interest don't write about yourself friends, family or colleagues. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation connected with him, or otherwise are acting on his behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sureshnakhua. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sureshnakhua|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Also read the following regarding writing an article

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the him or his organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the he claims or interviewing him. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. Most of your text is completely unsourced, and of the three refs you gave, two don't appear to mention him and the third says he has done an operation. That's his job, so difficult to see why that makes him notable.
  • Sneha, their daughter is doing second year residency... His son, Rohan is doing residency in MS ophthalmology... and second son Pranav is a Chartered Accountant How does this make their father notable?
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Not unsourced claims like considered as one of the most prominent eye surgeons in India... World Renowned... one of the pioneers in Refractive surgery in the world... Distinguished Speaker
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above Jimfbleak - talk to me?

August 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Tayi Arajakate. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Alt News, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tayi Arajakate Talk 11:54, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable source i.e. the agency which issues certificate was given. The certificate expired on 25/04/2020.

Here is the link of certificate https://ifcncodeofprinciples.poynter.org/profile/pravda-media-foundation Sureshnakhua (talk) 12:19, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sureshnakhua, its a primary source. Unless it explicitly states that AltNews is not certified, only then can such an addition be justified because reliable secondary sources still treat it as a IFCN certified organisation. Tayi Arajakate Talk 13:00, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
|Tayi Araijakate It is the same source that backs up the claim that it was originally certified. I see nothing wrong in what was done. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:26, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand when the primary source itself says certification has expired, how can be secondary source which are itself dependent on primary source be relied. Sureshnakhua (talk) 19:31, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial topic area alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
