Minneapolis

User:SusanLesch: I, along with several other editors, suggest the following consensus addition to the article:

The city, once dubbed the "flour milling capital of the world", was the industrial center of the Upper Midwest from the 1880s until about the 1930s. Despite a significant shift away from industrial activity, Minneapolis still remains Minnesota’s major economic and cultural center.

I feel like this is appropriate, factual, and has already been agreed to by other editors I have been in contact with (one of them originally added it to the article too). I am going to make this change (with the suggestion you gave already implemented in the text above) to the article. I appreciate your feedback and hope you respect this consensus edit. Thank you for your understanding.

I want to extend my appreciation for the comments you have given on work. It seems to my eyes that the strong and overwhelming consensus on my textual block add is that it is “undue weight” and shall not be added to the article as it is currently written. ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
