For your first edits, I suggest searching for articles that you think might interest you. You could also be audacious and try a random page.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome and happy editing! Cbrown1023 00:40, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Investigative journalist

[edit]

As an investigative journalist, you don't seem to have made much a ripple through Google. Mind pointing to some clippings of your work? --Calton | Talk 01:04, 4 December 2006 (UTC) I'd love to, but unfortunately I cant due to my confidentiality clauses with my employers Susanfg 10:58, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What did you just add to Wikipedia talk:Administrators' noticeboard? Please try it again, only put it on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard and try to do one paragraph at a time and do not make it appear as if there are multiple people having a conversation when there's actually only you. Veinor (talk to me) 03:26, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks Veinor, I just wanted to fix a dead link from my [19] on this page;http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#Ecopave_Australia_nonsense that linked to this page; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Administrators%27_noticeboard#I_found_this_article_in_the_Wikipedia_deleted_articles_archives[19], the target page [1][19],that my my link [19] points to has also been totally re-doctored to hide this article (see below).

Also what do you mean "multiple people having a conversation"? its just me :), Susanfg 03:30, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I'm not talking about that. I reverted that by accident. I'm talking about this. Veinor (talk to me) 03:49, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes thanks Veinor, this is the article Im trying to put back that has been deleted un-justly and also from my user page??, this is the article in question: diff link

Yes, I can see that, there's no need to post the entire thing here. When you say 'article', do you mean in the main space? Because that's not where stuff like that should go . And if you're talking about on Wikipedia talk:Administrator's noticeboard, it still shouldn't go there. It should go on Wikipedia:Administrator's noticeboard. And even then, you still need to shorten it by a factor of 10; I don't think anything needs that much of a backstory to make sense. For that matter, I can't understand what you're saying there. Try to explain clearly and briefly what you're talking about. Veinor (talk to me) 04:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WHY ARE YOU VEINOR DELETING MY ENTRIES?

Nothing's been doctored; everything is still available in the history. The problem is that nobody is going to read such a long, unintelligible piece of text. Like I said above, you need to slim it down and only quote whatever's necessary from other people's comments, not the entire comment (and signature as well!) Veinor (talk to me) 04:13, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Show me a Wikipedia guideline Please where it says that this article is too long Guy, alternatively I would appreciate if you could show me the "history" page where this article can be linked to Susanfg 04:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC) Susanfg 04:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not just the size; it's the fact that I can't understand what's going on. You're quoting people's entire comments, including their signature, which makes it look like they added it to that page, which obviously isn't the case. The entire discussion looks like it's been copied from somewhere; has it? And if so, where, and why did you recreate it? Veinor (talk to me) 04:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Ok, it appears that this article including all its link was originally a response to the EC0PAVE NONSENSE article(see above)page but someone deleted this response from the admin noticeboard page (see above)I assume the record was deleted by Mr Chapman, anyhow I found this article in the Wikipedia deleted archives as I stated. Why do I want this back? because the link has been deleted that points to this article history (archive) Susanfg 04:31, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was Tjstrf. You put it on the wrong page, the talk page for the noticeboard. It should go on the main page (but don't just blindly repost it, trim it down first). And in any case... what deleted archives? Non-administrators don't have access to deleted pages. Are you talking about google cache? Because that in no way shows the latest revision. What page are you talking about, and what link are you talking about? Veinor (talk to me) 04:35, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No veinor, I am really referring to the "deleted archives" and here is the link to the article in question, [[2]]

The {{helpme}} you left was removed. {{helpme}}'s are for questions about editing Wikipedia. Yours has been answered. If you want a broader answer, I suggest you take it to The Wikipedia Help Desk. With Thanks, — Deon555talkdesksign here! 04:19, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
