Atleast reply, man!

[edit]

Mr.User Page chor. You should have atleast asked me before copying it. But i don't mind :) it. You are allowed to do so. A benefit of being my classmate.:). Anyways that edit you did on the page highest grossing 2001 films was wrong. It earned 175 crores only and not 75 crores. That was the reason why it was the highest grossing movie of all time at the time of its release and is still one of the highest grossing movies when adjusted for inflation. Thanks :) . Good to see you learned some things about editing so early. keep improving.King Of The Wise (talk) 16:23, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Help:Wiki markup - A guide to Wiki Markup, i.e the markup language used in Wikipedia. A pretty detailed guide that will tell you of all the markup text needed to enter a specific item.
  • Wikipedia:Cheatsheet A shorter guide to wiki markup. Tells you the basics. Shorter guide telling you how to enter the most frequently used formatting. Will suffice your editing needs for now.
  • Beguineer's guide to The Manual of Style - The manual of style is a guide to how to the layout, the ways and guidelines on how to write articles. The dos and donts. The original MoS is too big and detailed, this one is good enough for you for now.
  • Help:Referencing_for_beginners - An intro to how to reference important claims on wikipedia. Remember, referencing is a very important part of editing wiki pages.
  • Wikipedia help chat - an IRC chat room that is specifically for help on wikipedia editing and other relevant topics and where many admins and other experienced editors are present. Since its a chat room (which is obviously live) you'll get answers directly from those volunteers. The people there are really awesome and superbly helpful. If you have any problem you can't find answer to in the above listed pages you can ask it directly there. I am pretty active there too ( more often to see the various questions asked and to get help myself than to give ;) ) by the name The_King or The_King_of_The_Wise.
  • You can upload any image by going to the Upload File link at the upper left of your wikipedia screen in the tools sub-menu. Remember to identify what type of image your image is and fill the subsequent form. Remember only completely free images or Fair use images can be used. Fair-Used images are those certain which are copyrighted but are allowed to be uploaded. For eg. those which are irreplaceable with free images but are needed to illustrate an article. For example Movie Posters, Book covers, CD covers etc. You'll just have to fill the fair use rationale form for those. Don't panic it is very easy through the upload file link and you'll just have to fill the information asked, which is quite less. In total This is a maximum 5 Min task. For more information see - Wikipedia:Image use policy
  • Try always filling the edit summary section in the save page pane. It helps other users understand why you made a change.
  • Other than all these you can ask for help directly from me (at school or at my talk page). I'll keep adding to this list. For now this is the basic list. Remember this is just an addition to the links in the welcome messages. If you read those and these you'll know all that you need to know now. And the IRC chat is awesome do not forget to use it. But tell me before you do so.

Rudra and my Good Article review

[edit]

Rudra john cena's page I was talking about is this - User talk:Rudra john cena His user page was deleted because he asked for it (when he was said he was going to retire). You'll know more about him on reading his talk page. Remember, after every 30 days his talk page is archived (talk page gets empty and what was in it previously is stored in a place called an archive) There will be a box called archive box at the top of the page. In it there will be two links like - 1 and 2 or archive 1 and archive 2. Read them to see what i was talking about. Just don't think bad of him, he was ,as User:Tito Dutta pointed out, a over enthusiastic user who wanted to get to the top fast. I am showing his talk pages to you just so you might learn from his mistakes and not do the same.

The Good Article review I am doing is here - Talk:Toy Story 3/GA1 and the article is this - Toy Story 3. See my review and how the article is being reviewed. You might learn somethings from that. Anyways thanx for listening. All the best for the Bio-test tommorrow. It sure is tough, or rather the course is just large.

Tommorrow's venue

[edit]

The UP genius award tomorrow will take place at Holy Public School, Sikandra, someone near Kamiyani Hospital. Time - 10:30. And you should have replied to what i had said above. Anyways this is how toy story 3 looked before GA review - Toy Story 3 as it looked on 6th Feb and this is how it looks now - Toy Story 3. And be good enough to reply. Start new sections at my talk page. Do not just keep adding to that barnstar. It is not allowed or rather discouraged. You said we both will do a lot of things on wiki because there is a holiday but you seem to have ignored me.

Anyways, how was Toy Story 3? Did you like it? Hope you did.

P.S. Astitwa did not send me anything

Web references that 404d

[edit]

Hi, in these edits it appears that you were trying to add references to support the increased box office total for Highway, but it didn't work. The links you submitted result in 404 errors.example. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:28, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
