You said: Excellent work, can you archive that email with the ORTS system?

Could you tell me how to do such a thing, I've never had to do it before? Cavenba (talkcontribs) 03:43, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello

Hey i'm just wondering what would be a good program to use to make the Flag of Edmonton from scratch i have been considering this for a couple of weeks and i just want to be able to creat a falg and not have the lage amount of copyright issues there is with some. Thank for your time,--Cheers Kyle1278 16:44, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Flag of Boston and Flag/Seal of Massachusetts

Hey, thanks for creating and uploading the SVG version of the Flag of Boston, it looks much better and more accurate than the PNG image that was there. I was wondering if you could make a couple tweaks to the seal (and possibly flag) of Massachusetts SVG images. Right now there is one spelling mistake on File:Seal of the State of Massachusetts.svg. It says "REPUBLICAE" but it should be "REIPUBLICAE", it is missing the I after the E. You can see a description and an image of what it should look like on the Secretary of Massachusetts official site. Other than the spelling error it looks pretty accurate, if you notice anything else to tweak feel free.

Another thing is that currently File:Flag of Massachusetts.svg seems to possibly be the wrong shade of blue and gold. The shade of blue and gold of the seal and the flag should be the same since the flag just contains part of the seal on it, as can be seen on that Secretary of MA site. And judging from the images on that site, it seems the current shades in the seal file are the more correct ones. Looking at some images on Flickr I see there are slightly different color shade versions of the flags. This image of the flag flying at the Massachusetts State House seems to be the same image as the one on the Secretary website and the same shade. This image of the flag flying at Boston City Hall seems to have the slightly lighter shade of blue currently on the Wikipedia flag image. Note also on that City Hall image there is a flag of Boston with slightly different shades of colors than the photo you worked off of, so it seems there isn't really a set color shade for the flags of Boston and Massachusetts. The color shades probably aren't a big deal, it would be nice for the flag and seal to have the same color shades though I think and I'd probably have to pick the shade currently on the seal.

Basically you can ignore the whole color thing if you want and just fix the typo, but one more thing is could you reupload the file name of the seal as just "Seal of Massachusetts.svg", it's simpler and having "State of Massachusetts" in the filename is not correct since it's technically the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Thanks for your work on the Boston flag and thanks for any work you can do for the Massachusetts symbols, your work on creating accurate SVG files of symbols is much appreciated. Thanks for correcting the MA seal, it looks good. And after thinking about it for a little bit more, I don't think it really matters much if the color shades are a little off since a brief look into it shows some flags do have different shades than others. So anyway, thanks again. LonelyMarble (talk) 18:20, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Just want to thank you again for the work on the Boston and Massachusetts related flags. The color shade change looks good, I think it's much better now that the flag and seal are the same. And thanks for correcting the filename of the seal too. LonelyMarble (talk) 17:37, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
