Arundhathi (TV series) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Arundhathi (TV series), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Hello, I'm Ravensfire. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please don't create any more articles without enough references. If you don't have any, create them in draft space (just add Draft: in front of the article name) Ravensfire (talk) 13:46, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • It was requested above that you stop recreating Tamil Selvi (TV series) and Arundhathi (TV series) yet you have ignored this request. The correct action is to edit the drafts to bring them up to an acceptable standard, not to recreate poor articles that fail to meet the expectations of articles in article space. Continually recreating the articles achieves nothing other than making work for other editors who have to redirect your articles to the drafts and then nominate the redirects for speedy deletion. If you continually recreate the drafts it is likely that the pages you are creating will be protect ed so you can't create them anymore or that you will be blocked from editing, or both. --AussieLegend () 06:15, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Arundhathi (TV series), you may be blocked from editing. AussieLegend () 12:07, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

AfC submissions again

[edit]

As I indicated above, There is really no point submitting draft articles for review if they are unsourced. All articles require sources. This is the reason that Draft:Tamil Selvi and Draft:Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai were draftified. Since 27 July, only 5 weeks ago, you have made absolutely no attempt to improve Draft:Tamil Selvi and it remains completely unsourced. Why would you think it would be approved when the problems with this article still exist? Submitting it for review now is only wasting the time of reviewers. Please don't do that. Similarly when a submission is declined, as Draft:Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai was,[1] that means it is not ready for article space, it's inappropriate to then copy and paste the rejected draft into article space, as you did at Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai.[2] Copy and paste moves are not permitted (see below). --AussieLegend () 15:07, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. • In addition, I see you have already been warned by AussieLegend above about repeatedly submitting drafts without making any serious attempt to properly source them. In this case, you resubmitted the draft within a few hours of it being declined, and the source you added was to a page that doesn't even mention the article topic. Reviewers are not stupid - we do actually look at the sources in articles. If you continue to submit and resubmit drafts without making a sincere effort to comply with Wikipedia policies, you may be blocked or banned. Hugsyrup 11:53, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is yet another example of an exceptionally poor quality article created by you: Incorrect field names, no prose, no references, no categories etc are things that you know NOT to do and yet you have. It's getting to the point where I believe we need to discuss your continued ability to edit Wikipedia. --AussieLegend () 12:17, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • And yet, even after the above you went and recreated the article at Pandavar Illam (TV series). Amazing. --AussieLegend () 12:38, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
AussieLegend, I'm thinking your comment about ANI is right, this needs to go there for additional eyes. I think asking for a topic ban on creating new pages in main space (only in draft) and not allowing moves from Draft to Main space (must go through approval process) would be appropriate and a far better option than a block. Ravensfire (talk) 15:51, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ravensfire, Yep. I think the rope's run out here. I just reverted a whole bunch of IP sock edits making links from mainspace articles to Swakutty's drafts and removing the AFC tags from the top of the draft pages to try to make them look more like articles. Of course, if they are going to play those sort of games that makes even your idea of letting them create drafts questionable. -- Begoon 08:33, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tell me the proper reason for blocking me. Guy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swakutty (talkcontribs) 02:47, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Guy explained that you were blocked for disruptive editing which is the "proper" reason. If you had bothered to read the discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1018#User:Swakutty - ongoing problems, especially WP:CIR and likely sockpuppetry, which is linked to in the section titled "Notice" above, you would have seen some examples of the disruptive editing and you should be aware of that anyway from the many, many warnings on this page. --AussieLegend () 03:59, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just to add, Swakutty, you do need to carefully read the linked ANI discussion, and review all the warning messages left for you on this page, and in its history which you removed, because, until you can convince an administrator that you understand and acknowledge the many serious issues there have been with your editing, and explain how things will be different moving forwards, you are not likely to be unblocked.

If you have been editing for, or in the expectation of, any payment or reward - or editing logged out, or in conjunction with anybody else, to avoid scrutiny, then you really need to disclose that now too, because if you are honest it may count in your favour, and if you are not it will be discovered anyway. -- Begoon 04:25, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect the paid editing is by Sun TV, or a related entity, given the history of articles edited and images uploaded. Swakutty, you've been VERY clearly told of the issues others have with your edits. You have been given a rather large number of warning notes and messages on this page, a lot of which you've deleted which means you've read them. The post AussieLegend made on ANI (that they linked to) is a good, concise summary of the issues. Wikipedia is a collaborative environment, that means you have to work with people, not ignore them and shove your way past. You have to communicate with editors. You have to be honest and upfront. And please remember the block is on YOU, the person, not just hte account. Creating a new account or editing as an IP to get around the block will just result in the new account / IP being blocked and would really reduce any chance of this account being unblocked. Ravensfire (talk) 14:19, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Given that there is conclusive evidence that you've been engaged in sockpuppetry, which has happened since you were blocked, I don't expect any admin to unblock you, especially since you haven't specifically addressd the original reason for your block. --AussieLegend () 07:35, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict)Which "mistake"? Sockpuppetry, deceptive edits, undisclosed paid editing, disruption, wasting of reviewer time...etc...etc...? You speak as though you made one simple "mistake" when in reality you weren't making "mistakes" at all - you were trying every (incompetent) deceptive trick you could think of to get your own way, and ignoring all advice and requests to change your behaviour and be honest. If anything was a "mistake" you made I'd say that was the assumption that other editors were too stupid to see through your obvious deceptions.

I can't speak for potentially reviewing admins, but I'd strongly suspect you'll need to show much more acknowledgement, honesty and understanding of the many reasons why you are blocked and give much clearer guarantees and very convincing reasons why anything would be different if you are unblocked. -- Begoon 07:43, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Do not make changes to closed unblock appeals, as you did here and here. Doing so subverts the unblock process, and is (yet another) disruptive behaviour. You are free to post a new unblock appeal if you wish to do so, but if you continue in this vein that option is likely to be removed as well, along with your ability to edit this page. Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:34, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Swakutty. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai".
