Mofolusade Sonaike moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Mofolusade Sonaike, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As a note, Sweeto dweeto, your paid disclosure is not adequate currently. You must disclose who is paying, link to where you advertise your services and which articles you are paid for. PRAXIDICAE🌈 22:03, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

July 2022[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Unblocking[edit]

Please guide me how to get unblocked. I want to provide disclosure of the client for whom I am writing Wikipedia articles Sweeto dweeto (talk) 18:30, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

unblock[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have understood that I was blocked due to being unable to provide evidence of mine being paid for writing Wikipedia articles for client's. Here is the link to my upwork account where you can see that I am working on Wikipedia articles as well as I have done such jobs previously. https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~016670c6951ad84721 Sweeto dweeto (talk) 20:20, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I see that in the block message above, GeneralNotability said "Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use". (My emphasis.) As far as "violating the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use" goes, you do seem to have, at least in part, tried to disclose your paid editing, but not clearly understood how to do so, and you have certainly shown now that you have the good-faith intention of being totally transparent about it. I'm not sure that you have disclosed all of your clients, but if not you no doubt will do so, and I will not regard undisclosed paid editing as a reason for keeping you blocked, if it ever was a reason for blocking. However, the other part of the block reason, "advertising or promotion", is a different matter. I have studied your editing history, and I see a significant amount of material there which reads like straight marketing or PR copy. Unblocking your account would not be likely to benefit the project as long as it seems likely that you would continue to edit to promote your clients, whether disclosed or not. JBW (talk) 09:20, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have fixed the formatting of your request. Please make the disclosure required by WP:PAID on this page for any and all of your current clients for which you have edited or will edit. 331dot (talk) 21:43, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

disclosure[edit]

Sweeto dweeto (talk) 00:05, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sweeto, you need to customize (insert the name of your employer and other specific informaton into) the template, you can't just copy and paste the template as is. Since you work for multiple clients, be aware that you'll have to add this template with specific employer info to your edit summaries and/or the talk pages of each article related to that employer, as per WP:UPE. unblick request[edit]

Sorry to disturb. I actually want myself to be unblocked as I have seen many people around making Wikipedia pages to promote themselves eg a movie's Wikipedia page is made exactly the same day it's released. Isn't that promotion? May be that they write it in a way that it doesn't seem like promotion. Please give me a chance and unblock me. I want to prove myself. Thanks! Please read other stuff exists. To be unblocked, you will need to make another request for someone else to review. 331dot (talk) 20:34, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Mofolusade Sonaike, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
