Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sydneycindy. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Together Price, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:59, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

September 2023[edit]

Information icon

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Together Price, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Sydneycindy, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sydneycindy|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:32, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @DoubleGrazing! I apologize for the delayed response. I've been away for some time, and I wasn't able to check my Wikipedia account. Is there a way I can retrieve my draft? I'm willing to provide all the necessary information to recover it. I hope it's not too late. If possible, could you assist me in retrieving the draft so I can continue working on it? I'm sincerely sorry for the delay, and I hope you can still help me with this. Thank you. Sydneycindy (talk) 13:45, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, I cannot help you recover this even if I wanted to, as it has been deleted, and can only be recovered by an administrator (which I'm not). You can try appealing to the deleting admin, but I'm not at all sure they will restore the draft back to you.
Before that, though, you need to disclose your conflict of interest and any paid editing, as requested in this thread and in the earlier one (above, titled 'Managing a conflict of interest'. Please do this as your very next edit. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:17, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for responding to my message, @DoubleGrazing. I truly appreciate your time. Regarding the disclosure, I have already added the PAID template to my user page. Please take a look and let me know if everything looks good now. As for the draft, I will try to contact the person who deleted it and ask if it is still possible to have it recovered. I do have one question, though. If he/she decides not to retrieve it, can I still recreate the page? Thank you.~~~~ Sydneycindy (talk) 07:46, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have not been blocked or banned, so in that sense you're free to edit, yes. Promotion is not allowed, even with a paid-editing disclosure, and repeated promotional editing may result in sanctions, so you need to be careful. There is typically a major discrepancy between what your client wants you to say, and how they want it said, and what Wikipedia will accept. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:10, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies. I did not delete the draft because it was paid, but because you have been blocked previously on a different account, and thus are using this account to evade that block. I had meant to block this account at the same time, but I made an error, leading to this confusion. - Bilby (talk) 08:34, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
