Hi Ian, I have a question about created a graph myself in photo shop and using it on my page. It is a graph that is referenced in a text book and is used for analyzing grind wheel cutting in terms of cutting stages. I often see images from scholastic references however, I wasn't sure so I'm recreated it myself. Whats the appropriate procedure here? Thanks!!

Thanks for uploading File:Sparks.jgp.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 05:25, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment. I was exploring the ability to utilize free-image links I found on a wiki resource page for stock photography and making sure all the license agreements matched. However the content of the photo did not appropriately support the use I had intended for it and I found another image. I also realized I don't have to post the image to the common image either. Just learning.
