Eric Easton (music manager) now exists. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:12, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

T Boy Jackson (talk) 17:09, 3 March 2020 (UTC) I have other information such as birth and death dates and places, plus what he did after he left the Rolling Stones. May I place them on the Easton page?[reply]

If you have reliably published sources like those used in the article, then yes. An obituary would seem a good source for dates. "His family told me so" is not acceptable. On how to cite sources on WP, see Help:Referencing for beginners and/or User:Nick Moyes/Easier Referencing for Beginners. You can also make suggestions at the talkpage, Talk:Eric Easton (music manager). Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:36, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång, you might want to mention images too; the one there now is OK per the fair use license, but it's not great, and I had to expunge Jagger from it. Stuff like that would be gold—rolled, of course  :) ——SN54129 19:09, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I thought we'd leave that for later since images can be complicated (like that IMO pain-in-the-ass citation-style you choose (Cambridge?). All what you're used to I guess). But basically, if the family have personal pictures of him that they own, then they can go here [1] and upload them for on-WP use. I think. I'm not actually sure about what goes for "inherited" photos, but if it's relevant we can find someone to ask. If the photo was actually taken by the family-member, then there's no problem. T Boy Jackson, he's talking to you^^^ hint, hint!  :) see what you can do. ——SN54129 19:28, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, not the bit about citation-style. But since SN did the very good deed of creating the article, he can make such choises. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:34, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
T Boy Jackson (talk) 21:38, 3 March 2020 (UTC) OK, so let's start with a birth date and death date[reply]

Born Nov 8, 1927, died Sept 13, 1995 in Florida. Age 67. Another website gave me his last zip code which was for Naples Florida. His son still lives there. As for his place of birth his son told me "Born Eric Catlow Huden on November 8, 1927 in Rishton, Lancashire, England. He changed his name to Easton for professional purposes when he was a performing musician." But that is just "hearsay" I guess!

As far as the other acts he managed, they are referenced on other wikipedia pages: Julie Grant, and Mrs. Mills. Acts managed by him not mentioned on their wiki pages are Bert Weedon and radio host Brian Matthew. Also briefly the Dave Clark Five.

I will ask about a better photo. I also have quotes from a couple of other books that paint a better picture of Easton's time with the Stones

Ok, some more WP-oddities. I'd never heard of JewishGen.org but that's not important, obviously other people had.
Now, to me this seem similar to Ancestry.com, a source on which WP has opinions: WP:ANCESTRY.COM. Basically it's hard to know what's good or bad on it. But that is not the big problem as I see it. The big problem is that your link doesn't tell me as a reader that this is the Eric Easton I'm looking for. I googled "Eric Easton" 1995 in books and news but didn't find anything useful. Found birthyear, though.
Also, you can't use other WP-articles as sources (WP-articles are usergenerated and often quite imperfect), but if they have useful citations/refs you can use those. Check what they say and if it's good use it. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:14, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, found it. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:42, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
