Liu Bocheng

I removed Category:People from Sichuan from Liu Bocheng, because where Liu was born is no longer part of Sichuan, and I think the dual categorization is confusing. Please let me know if you have further thoughts. --Nlu (talk) 19:59, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

I understand your reasoning, but I've always thought these categories were for people who came from a particular province or tell the readers where they came from but not where they end up. Sometimes, people migrate and they can be known to be in the area and can have two categories from which place they are from. I'm not particularly fussed if you removed them even though strongly I disagree. I'm not sure it will affect the article much at all as the infobox does show he's from Sichuan. --Takamaxa (Talk) 05:53, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Having a second look at the article. Historically, Chongqing during his lifetime was a part of Sichuan, so assuming most people who know their history of Sichuan and Chongqing, they can infer it. No problems here. --Takamaxa (Talk) 05:59, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
