Muhandes:
Thank you for your welcoming words and for your edits to my first article. As you have correctly identified, and am a new contributor. I had hoped that an editor would come across my new article and give me some feedback on how to make it encyclopedic. I believe you have done a fine job of improving the Construction Industry Institute article.
My only question is why you chose to remove "(CII)" from the top paragraph. You described it as a common term (which it certainly is; hence the disambiguation page), but here it defines an acronym that will be used repeatedly throughout the remainder of the article. I considered that definition to be a common courtesy to readers. Do you consider the acronym to be self-evident, so we can skip its definition?
Thanks again for your advice! (Should I have set apart my reply with a section instead of indentation?) TangentBurns (talk) 15:38, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Rats! Upon a second reading, I think I got your edit reversed in my head. You added the "CII" definition that I thought you'd removed. Good add! I totally agree. TangentBurns (talk) 15:43, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, I added it from the reasons you mentioned, see also WP:ABBR and WP:LEAD, and it was also required per WP:DAB (you don't really have to follow these links, but if you are interested in learning more of Wikipedia policies those are the ones I followed). As for your question of how to respond in a talk page, see WP:TALKPAGE. Basically for every new subject start a new level 2 section. I added one for you now. Feel free to ask any question you may have. --Muhandes (talk) 17:41, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
