Unknown source of Image:Rebels thumb.jpg

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Rebels thumb.jpg, by VegitaU (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Rebels thumb.jpg is an image with unknown source or unknown copyright status which has been tagged as unknown for more than 7 days (CSD I4).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Rebels thumb.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:58, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mojo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mojo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:16, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste move

[edit]

Hi Target0. The next time you need to rename an article, please be sure to use the page move function rather than cutting-and-pasting content from one article to another. For legal and organizational reasons, we are required to keep track of each editor's contributions, and when you paste-in content that other people wrote without giving them attribution, it gives the appearance that you created that content yourself. I have re-merged the page histories of American Indoor Soccer League and AISL, and moved the resulting article back to American Indoor Soccer League. We try not to use acronyms in article titles unless they are far far better known than the expanded name. For example, our article is called National Basketball Association, not NBA. Keep up the good work. ×Meegs 03:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:2007 Playoff Win.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 03:47, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Maps

[edit]

I'm sure there is a more elagant way of making these, but I just downloaded a blank US map (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/archive/9/9f/20070527224115%21BlankMap-USA-states.png) and then used good old paint to add the dots/colours. To get the team names/links to appear on the map, I made a template (Template:MISL_Labelled_Map) where I had to specify the (x,y) position of each label by hand. Hope this helps. Your edits to Baltimore AIFA team

[edit]

Please don't redirect pages without due reason, thank you. --Inhuman14 02:58, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move from Baltimore AIFA team to Baltimore Mariners. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Fair use disputed for Image:CAFC.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CAFC.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:28, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article P. J. Wakefield has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
