OK, it's haomin at erpz dot net, thanks! -- Миборовский U|T|C|M|E|Chugoku Banzai! 09:59, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Got the scan, thanks. They screwed up, I went to The Chinese High School, dammit. Good (NOT!) to know that Wu Lei got the highest... arghhh... so pissed. Had a bit of (friendly) competition with her since P5... Arghhh, got thrashed so bad... Dammit! Oh well, those were good times. During P5 Wu Lei and I pretty much destroyed the Chinese teacher's (Mr Lee's) face by continuously pointing out his mistakes... muahahahaha. Good times. -- Миборовский U|T|C|M|E|Chugoku Banzai! 10:16, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not interested (to write articles) for now. Maybe after my main area of focus (Second Sino-Japanese War) is expanded sufficiently.

Re: Autism

[edit]

Hello, In response to your comment on my Talk page: "I understand you removed the DAN! section. It's an association, alright, but they strongly believe in fighting the disorder." -- The section was about listing specific therapies that are used to treat Autism -- DAN! isn't a therapy, it's just an association of doctors, so it wasn't really appropriate to be listed there. There may be a better place to post the link if it is appropriate for the page, but I thought the link seemed rather like an ad for DAN!, so I just removed it. If you can find a better way to include it, we can try to come to a consensus on whether DAN! should be included at all -- but the Therapies section just wasn't the right place for it. Thanks. -- ManekiNeko | Talk 09:47, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I am trying to learn the tools of the sysop before I try for Admin here. While I appreciate you thinking me worthy, I must decline. Thank you, though. --LV (Dark Mark) 15:01, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFAs+email

[edit]

Hi! thanks for asking. The email id should be specified in the user preferences NOT the user page. Adminship is a position of trust and if an admin refuses to post his email id it means that he or she is not approachable. Now if an admin blocks a user for whatever reason, the person blocked is given the option of contacting the admin over email to sort things out. Speaking of personal experience, I have blocked user, and after an email conversation I managed to lift the block after securing corrective assurances from that person.

Another reason for the setting up of an email id is the fact that it allows a user to have a private conversation with an admin. Remember, all posts are logged in wikipedia, and privacy is not at all guaranteed. There may be many compelling reasons to seek a private conversation.

The RFA email thing has been there for almost 2 years now and is nothing new. I seem to be the only one these days who keeps a check on the email settings. Since I don't get much time on WP a lot of RFAs unfortunately get passed without the user setting his or her email id.

I hope the above information was useful. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 05:46, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFA

[edit]

No, there is no real 'instruction' page per se. The RFA page itself is the only real guideline to nominating someone. If you need help nominating a user, please feel free to ask. Have a nice day. Johann Wolfgang 21:06, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:NDP 2005 F-16s.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stan 04:20, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Updated DYK query

Thank you for voting Sentosa, it has been selected for Singapore Collaboration of the Fortnight. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. If you know of another important article lacking in detail, do nominate it for the next SGCOTF. Thanks again.

Oh.. almost forget, your narration would be needed, 2 weeks from now. :D --Vsion 04:36, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

[edit]

Per your request, I've cleaned up the coding in your userbox panel. I did two different options, so you can look and decide which one you like best:

Feel free to play around with it and see what works best, and ask me if you have other problems. Essjay TalkContact 08:45, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An Esperanzial note

[edit]

As I remember, the last spam that was handed out was on the 20th of December last year, so I think it's time for another update. First and foremost, the new Advisory Council and Administrator General have been elected. They consist of myself as Admin General and FireFox, Titoxd, Flcelloguy and Karmafist as the Advisory Council. We as a group met formally for the first time on the 31st of Decembe. The minutes of this meeting can be found at WP:ESP/ACM. The next one is planned for tonight (Sunday 29 January) at 20:30 UTC and the agenda can be found at WP:ESP/ACM2.

In other news, Karmafist has set up a discussion about a new personal attack policy, which it can be found here. Other new pages include an introductory page on what to do when you sign up, So you've joined Esperanza... and a welcome template: {{EA-welcome}} (courtesy of Bratsche). Some of our old hands may like to make sure they do everything on the list as well ;) Additionally, the userpage award program proposal has become official is operational: see Wikipedia:Esperanza/User Page Award to nominate a userpage or volunteer as a judge. Also see the proposed programs page for many new proposals and old ones that need more discussion ;)

Other than that, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you an Esperanzially good new WikiYear :D Thank you! --Celestianpower háblame 16:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
