Thank you Sir @DESiegel:, I requested a name change and commented on deletion page. she is notable but most of the press was pre internet times, but we have online links as well, I don't know who searched and created this article but they did well, I mentioned most of her clippings in the debate section TeamNancy (talk) 07:38, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Nancy Ruth (singer)[edit]

You wrote to me by email as follows:

I am Nancy's management. We were happy that someone created a page for her, I recently discovered an issue and read your comments. I am here to say that her notability is wide and even before internet age. I have a lot of newspaper cuttings from around the world. How can I send those to you? Theses are attachments. Please let me know or give me your email id so I can attach those.We don't know who created the page and how to contact that person.

There is no need to email copies of news clippings, nor would it be of any value. Don't. What you do need to do is post a list of the articles to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nancy Ruth (singer), with the following information for each:

  1. Title of article;
  2. name of publication in which it appeared;
  3. URL if a copy is online;
  4. Date of publication;
  5. Author if there is a byline;
  6. Length of the mention of Nancy Ruth;
  7. BRIEF summery: 1-2 sentences at most.

Note, do not bother to include:

  1. interviews with Ruth;
  2. Listings of performances;
  3. Directory entries;
  4. Press releases;
  5. Stories largely copied from press releases;
  6. Items written by Ruth's publisher, agent, or anyone have a close affiliation with her;

What you want is multiple items from regional or national publications with reputations for accuracy that are independent of Ruth, and discuss her or her work in some detail, at least 2-3 paragraphs in each item.

Once these are listed, suitable ones can be incorporated into the article as source citations. But for now, list them in the deletion discussion. That is where the decision to delete or not delete the article will be made, and it may be made at any time, as it has already been under discussion for more than 7 days.

There is no need to communicate on this topic by email. Post to the deletion discussion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nancy Ruth (singer)) while it is open, or to mu user talk page (User talk:DESiegel) or to your user talk page including {{ping|DESiegel}} in a post 'signed with four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:43, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I did it @DESiegel: thank you very much TeamNancy (talk) 07:39, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The page was deleted, but has been, at the suggestion of the closer, restore and moved to draft space, at Draft:Nancy Ruth (singer). There it can be improved in hopes of surviving a further deletion discussion should it eventually be moved back to the main article space.
