May 2008[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. ~ akendall 22:46, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tearfox, please stop adding pages such as Season 1 (1996-1997), as they are non-descript and you're sure to be blocked if you continue to add such pages. The necessity of summaries of a tv show are questionable, but please make them on an appropriately named page such as Season One (Ros na Rún). I've linked to such names on the Ros na Rún article. Thanks! Boccobrock (talk) 22:50, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mel Hutchwright, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.corrie.net/profiles/characters/hutchwright_mel.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:52, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Capitalisation of headings[edit]

The Wikipedia style for capitalising headings is to use "sentence case" instead of "title case", e.g.,

Important things to know about this subject

not:

Important Things to Know About This Subject

This may be unfamiliar to many editors who believe that or have been taught that "title case is the right way to capitalize headings". It isn't the "right way", it is one style. Wikipedia has, for better or worse, chosen to follow a different style, i.e., capitalize the heading the same way you would capitalise any sentence:

  • capitalise the first word,
  • capitalise any proper nouns (people, places, organizations), and
  • begin all other words with lower case letters.

See WP:MSH for more information. Thanks. Ground Zero | t 17:49, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see you are ignoring my advice, and more importantly, you are ignoring the Wikipedia Manual of Style. I will feel free to revert your edits as I see fit until you start editing in a manner consistent with the Manual. Ground Zero | t 00:09, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

Stop making edits like this one. They are not helpful. I will revert these edits, and will take administrative action against you if you continue doing this. You must edit in accordance with the Wikipedia style. Ground Zero | t 02:08, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is there something that you are unclear about? This edit is not helpful. This is your second warning. Ground Zero | t 15:41, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Headings again[edit]

Don't insert "Overview" or any other heading before the first paragraph of an article as you have done many times, most recently here. This is not the Wikipedia style. Please see WP:LEDE: "The lead itself has no heading." Thank you. Ground Zero | t 13:20, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Storylines[edit]

Hello, just a reminder. When adding storylines to soap opera articles, try and keep the updating of storylines as brief as possible. Thanks. RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 23:14, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Do you take any notice of these suggestions the Wiki community make, because it doesn't seem to be the case. We're just here to help, if you could reply to one of us no and again though.RAIN..the..ONE HOTLINE 18:37, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

December 2010[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Sally Webster. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Edit summaries (again)[edit]

Tip of the day...

Please summarize your work using the Edit summary box

If you make anything other than a minor edit to an article, it helps others if you fill in the edit summary. Edit summaries are visible in the page history, watchlists, and on Recent changes, so they help other users keep track of what is happening to a page.

If you use section editing, the summary box is filled in with the section heading by default (in gray text), which you can follow with more detail. You also can put links to articles in the edit summary. Just put double brackets around [[the article title]] like you would normally. The summary is limited to 255 characters, so many people use common abbreviations, such as sp for correcting spelling mistakes, rm for remove, ce for copy-edit, etc.

December 2010 (2)[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Leanne Battersby. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Putting this another way - and I don't apologise for its bluntness (in view of your prior obstinacy):
Care to discuss this? I'll watch this space (with bated breath, obviously) ...

Disambiguation link notification for September 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
