October 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of music considered the worst, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 05:57, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bond[edit]

I reverted your change on AFI's 100 Years...100 Movie Quotes as it wasn't clear to someone looking at it what the years were. Maybe the years could be put in the footnote? --John (User:Jwy/talk) 15:01, 28 October 2019 (UTC) Reply:Yeah sure put it in the footnote.[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi! Two comments about your additions of disambiguation notes:

  • The template {{Distinguish}} is meant as a navigation tool, to help people who may have come to the wrong article while searcing for a title that may be ambigious. It is not necessary to use it for telling people about other articles with a similar title unless there is a real chance that they have come to the wrong place. As an example, it is extremely unlikely that anyone should stumble onto the article Little Lord Fauntleroy (1914 film) if they are looking for the article Little Lord Fauntleroy (murder victim). It is, however, quite possible that they would end up with hitting the article Little Lord Fauntleroy. Therefore there is a link at the top of that page to Little Lord Fauntleroy (disambiguation), where several possible target articles are listed. In some cases, more specific titles can also have links to the disambiguition page, but never to another specific title, unless there is a real possibility for confusion.
  • You are marking most of your edits as minor. Please read WP:MINOR, where it is explained when to use the "minor" marking and when not. Addition of templates are mentioned in the "When not to mark as minor changes" listing.

Regards! --T*U (talk) 15:23, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Star Wars (film). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

Also, be advised that Wikipedia is written from a real world perspective and in-universe perspective is discouraged. Additionally, making claims about a living person without citing a reliable source violates WP:BLP. DonQuixote (talk) 12:38, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very sorry about this,I even analogized in the edit description, may you please accept my apology? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tee wew28 (talkcontribs)
Please feel free to discuss on the articles' talk pages, and happy editing! DonQuixote (talk) 13:08, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Will you accept the apology? Tee wew28 (talk) 13:20, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fuck you Tee wew28 (talk) 19:30, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2020[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Movies, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Woodroar (talk) 15:35, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's featured in the game,no need to remove it from the article, please understand,oh and help me I don't know how to sign on this— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tee wew28 (talkcontribs) 19:39, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We've discussed this before at Talk:The Movies. We're not here to write about what we think is important and Wikipedia isn't an indiscriminate collection of facts about stuff. We summarize what reliable, third-party sources cover to put any standout game features in context. Please read all of those links, they're all important policies. I'd also suggest reading all of the links in the welcome message that was left for you in October last year.
You can add a signature by typing 4 tildes, like this: ~~~~. I hope this helps! Woodroar (talk) 20:12, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Then what about the Major review sites like IGN or GameSpotTee wew28 (talk) 20:59, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, coverage by reliable sources—especially sources deemed reliable at WP:GAMESOURCES—would meet our verifiability policies. Except for content specifically disallowed by WP:GAMECRUFT, that is. Woodroar (talk) 21:14, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to I Shot the Sheriff, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Robvanvee 17:00, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What source all music? Or Genius? Tee wew28 (talk) 17:05, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do not do what you just did! I told you it was unsourced. Until such time as you find a reliable source, which Genius is not, you do not get to decide what genre's belong based on your personal opinion. Robvanvee 17:23, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I asked you a question is allmusic a reliable source? Tee wew28 (talk) 17:31, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, AllMusic is reliable but only the prose, not the sidebar as that is also user generated. See this. Robvanvee 17:35, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at I Shot the Sheriff, you may be blocked from editing. You are getting closer to being blocked with every repeated unsourced genre. Robvanvee 17:53, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources. Woodroar (talk) 18:47, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I said it came from allmusic is that nod a valid source? Tee wew28 (talk) 18:48, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Robvanvee specifically wrote "Yes, AllMusic is reliable but only the prose, not the sidebar as that is also user generated. (Emphasis mine.) The information you included is found in the unreliable sidebar. In any case, you didn't cite your source so it probably would have been reverted anyways. Woodroar (talk) 18:53, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t know how to cite the source in the template please help. Tee wew28 (talk) 19:01, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't matter, because the prose overview/song review AllMusic doesn't mention the words "pop" or "rock" or "funk rock" or "disco" or "proto disco" or anything that you're adding to the article. I strongly suggest that you revert your edit before this goes to the edit warring noticeboard. Woodroar (talk) 19:07, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it does mention Pop/Rock in the song genres part Tee wew28 (talk) 19:10, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Which we've explained several times is not a reliable part of that page. Here's one last try: only the prose part of that page, which is the four paragraphs under the heading "Song Review by Jo-Ann Greene", is considered a reliable source. Woodroar (talk) 19:14, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And here is my last warning: if you revert back one more time I will open a report at WP:ANI which will most likely result in your editing privileges being removed. Until you learn how to source properly, STOP reinstating unsourced information! Robvanvee 19:20, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Man Fuck you Tee wew28 (talk) 19:22, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t care just because of a fucking Eric Clapton song I lost my Wikipedia career. Tee wew28 (talk) 19:22, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
