My error. Was trying to comment on Article: "Velocity Factor" which has term use consistency problems in this articles' first paragraph:
[[This is concerning the opening paragraph 1st sentence: velocity factor (VF) is not the same as the phase velocity (Vp) because: VF = Vp/c The 2nd sentence: "velocity factor is the reciprocal of the refractive index" (n) is correct because: Vp = c/n therefore VF = 1/n
The 1st sentence "also called wave propagation speed or velocity of propagation (VoP or Vp)" text also needs to be evaluated because: VF is a ratio of speeds or velocities not a velocity in and of itself.]]
I was not submitting an Article for Creation. I sincerely apologize for wasting your "article reviewer" time.
My only excuse is I am a frequent wiki reader but very infrequent article commenter. I am not sure how to communicate the above [[ ]] to the author. My approach is that of a peer reviewer: raise issues for the author to resolve/address, not revise their text. The Editing tab page is quite complex for a straightforward comment to the author.
I really appreciate the Wiki site and donate to it. It is quite valuable. And passing along issues to an author is my attempt to help. But I am not interested in getting involved in wiki article Editing complexity.
I hope wiki enables a commenting mechanism more inline with "reviewer comments to author approach" and would appreciate help on how to do that.
Best regards,
