Mozambique
[edit]I answered you on the talk page - first, you can research wikiproject countries, and second - the later administrative levels are described and referenced within articles and references like the politics templates, not on the first page. Please do not change this. Thank you. Rarelibra 12:49, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- In other words, you wish to go against the work that those of us (such as WikiProject Countries) are doing to standardize articles on Wikipedia. ALL countries have "administrative divisions" - but the wikiproject has the individual countries titled after the first and/or second (or third, in some cases - if the information is available) divisions - any further (fourth, fifth, and even sixth) are explained and titled elsewhere in the subdivision articles, not the main article. Please realize this. You don't have to disagree - but do your research first. Thank you. Rarelibra 14:55, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Democratic elections in Moçambique
[edit](In answer to your comment on my page)
I'm afraid I don't have any reference or citation however my recollection is that during the transition period there were multiple parties. Did any elections happened then?
Under Frelimo there were single party elections. People voted therefore they were (by some peoples definitions) democratic. Were these contested between multiple Frelimo canditates? Were candidates selected in open meeting with public participation?
Even under Portugal I believe they had elections. I think they may even have had some sort of faked up multi-party arrangement.
My personal belief is that the 1994 elections were more democratic than those that went before however neutral point of view requires that we describe the previous elections and the restrictions that applied so our readers know more about them and can decide for themselves if they want to label those elections 'democratic' or not. We can't just label them as not "democratic" when there isn't even a general accepted NPOV definition of what is or is not a "democratic" election.
Now where can we get hold of info on elections during the portugese period, the transition period and the Machel period?Filceolaire 09:48, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Nelinho article
[edit]Hello. I've noticed an edit war between you and User:Maracana on this article over the countyofbirth field. I don't agree with Maracana's approach to mass editing of these types of articles (without any discussion) but his view is that the infobox should identify the name of the country at the time of the person's birth. There has been a great deal of discussion about this (especially for former Soviet republics), and I believe the concensus is to use the name of the country at the time of the person's birth. In short, I don't think it's worth arguing with him about it (I've given up). Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 13:29, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Corrections on the "Mozambican Civil War" article
[edit]Thanks very much for correcting my errors, some of which - to my shame - I should have noticed myself. I intend to continue work on this article, so I'd be grateful, if you could check my future edits, too. I'll try not to be too much work ;)
Kindly,

Freixo vs. Freizo
[edit]Hello Teixant. I wanted to let you know that I've reverted this edit. I perfectly understand what you say, but there's a policy of verifiability to follow, which is closely related to WP:VNT, and says that verifiability is preferred over truth. We cannot override the policies. Regards.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:07, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
Hello TEIXANT, AL from Portugal,
please (please!) leave the article's intro as it is please. I agree with you without the technicalities, he was Mozambican. But, like Eusébio, he played for Portugal internationally, so he was a PORTUGUESE FOOTBALLER and a MOZAMBICAN HUMAN BEING, if you will.
We have to respect WP guidelines and rules. Besides, in the article's early storyline, it states exactly where he was born, so more to his Mozambican "status" there OK?
Happy editing and weekend --AL (talk) 00:08, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Callmemirela. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Portugal, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Malawi claim
[edit]OK, but what about this then? I just acted according to what is said here. Malawi claims whole lake except the Mozambique's part and that is a dotted line in the image. Sorry, I didn't zoom the image. And that gives a reverse impression in the eyes. :-) Thanks for the correction. -- KWiki (talk) 22:27, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello again from Portugal Mr. Teixant (I was the one that left you the message titled "Mário Coluna", now I don't have an account anymore),
it's customary to leave the current name of the article in the wording (in this case Primeira Liga), I think not to mislead readers. You can ask here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football) to see that I'm not lying, and for the moment I have not re-reverted anything, it stays your way.
Also, I see you were offended by my use of "period" in the edit summary. Believe me, I was not being insulting or trying to belittle you, only being assertive, but I apologize for any inconvenience that may have occurred.
Happy editing --84.90.219.128 (talk) 15:03, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, I read it. The question I think you could/should pose was: "Should we hide the Primeira Liga wording (which is the current title for the WP article) when addressing a player that competed there when the competition had another name?" That's just an option.
Attentively --84.90.219.128 (talk) 20:55, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

The Hello, I'm 2601:346:280:833:C8D8:D7A9:2A5A:CF8. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. needs to stop. YOu're running around undoing edits based on your opinions. YOu need to build a case for the edit. Most of recent ones would be simple to have a source. Some of them though are pure opinion. Stop. This is a form of vandalism. —Preceding undated comment added 17:54, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
If you read the Mozambique's article talk page, you will see that I tried to dialog and explain why I was reverting the reverts, but I got no answer from the other user. I think that should matter when imposing punishments, but somehow I am not surprized. Thanks for your attention. Teixant (talk) 23:22, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You failed to achieve consensus for your changes. You are not permitted to engage in edit-warring to enforce your preferred version. I'll note that the other party was also blocked for one week. Yamla (talk) 00:14, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[edit]Mozambique Population
[edit]Hello Teixant
I noticed you reverted information that I removed about the "most populous city of Mozambique" - please support your reversion with source. Using the List of cities in Mozambique by population Wikipedia article, your information is not correct. I'd suggest you correct THAT page first then update the Maputo page with the appropriate citation.
