Hi EchidnaLives, thanks for reviewing and your feedback. Before I begin with the Teahouse, perhaps I should recount what I have done in case it is a really simple fix. I cited two newspaper articles (The Age and now-defunct Melbourne Herald) which I felt were reliable, secondary and independent (both of which I have scanned copies) but neither are accessible digitally. Both articles are fully dedicated to the subject of the proposed article. I tried to attach them to the article but Wikipedia prevented me doing so. Both sources can only be verified by a visit to the State Library of Victoria and physically reviewing the microfiche, which is how I have the copies. Is there a particular rookie mistake(s) that you might be able to advise me on? Wiktree (talk) 04:34, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Wiktree, thanks for asking. Don't worry, you aren't doing anything wrong, it's just important that reviewers are able to verify sources.
Do you know if either of the 2 articles are available on the state library website? If not, I will be near the state library a bit later (I live in Melbourne :D) and might be able to have a look. Do you know where in the library I could find it?
If not, could you email me the copies? If you aren't able to do that, could you find 1 more source which shows that it's notable, even if you can't link it?
Thanks, echidnaLives - talk - edits 05:34, 8 January 2023 (UTC).[reply]
Additonally, it seems like you are the same person as Telegrampost. This isn't an issue, as you've not done any disruptive editing, but you should probably declare it just in case. echidnaLives - talk - edits 05:36, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your email, EchidnaLives.
Yes, please accept the article on my behalf. I wasn’t sure what you meant by requesting access to the two other documents, so I am going to assume you meant the Dropbox contents and attaching seperate links for each:
1. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zs3kvw7cgrgw5hz/1.%20The%20Herald%2025%20Feb%201978%20re%20public%20transport.pdf?dl=0
2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9j1i5i0bvixlc9p/2.%20The%20Age%20Green%20Guide%2C%2010%20May%201979.pdf?dl=0
3. https://www.dropbox.com/s/c6y2dibt2b9tp41/3.%20Letter%20to%20Herald%201978.pdf?dl=0
I am comfortable sharing the Dropbox links; and will see if I can find more sources. I will also ensure that on each account, the other account is disclosed.
I appreciate your help.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Public Transport Action Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Thanks Dan. I can now see exactly what's missing; and probably can't fill those gaps. Now that I understand Wikipedia better, in particular citation of secondary sources and no original research, I will let this one go. Please proceed to delete at your convenience; and thank you for your patience with a newbie. It must be very time consuming; but I can see that standards need to be maintained. I haven't given up, but will choose a subject matter next time that is easier to match with the rules. Telegrampost (talk) 07:03, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't be discouraged. I would suggest rather than writing a new article from scratch that you look at first making improvements to existing articles. That way you'll get the hand of editing and wikideia policies/guidelines. Remember that there are plenty of experienced editors that are always happy to help out newbies. You can find them at Portal:Australia/Wikiproject - just drop a line on the talk page. Happy editing. Dan arndt (talk) 07:10, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
