Blocked

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block. -- Cirt (talk) 13:51, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Mr. Cirt, I was so upset with your action that you blocked my account tfrasheed and clallardo account of my programmer. Clarllardo is working right now the Turki Faisal Al Rasheed article on his own userpage, as what is stated to the notifications from Editor Stifle that he must have owned account. He did it, but now it was blocklisted while in the process of editing. The problem is, how could we finish editing the article at the possible time? we are given a limited time to improve about it. The article is in a draft/userfy page for all the Editors to review and proofread. Thank You. Turki Faisal Al Rasheed 14:59, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You have shown no understanding of the reason for your block, and indeed you seem to be saying that you would continue editing as you have been doing before. This is not acceptable, as is clearly shown in the block notice above -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 16:59, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Mr. Rasheed, there are so many issues here that I do not know where to start. However, here's a few:

Request reason:

It is now clear to me the violations that I and my programmer did. With this, I am requesting to unblock my account for me to start a new article with and in accordance of wikipedia rules and policies. All the tags and notifications were noted and printed out for in the future be avoided. To the Admins and Editors, thank you for the consideration to my request.Turki Faisal Al Rasheed 05:49, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Decline reason:

The unblock clearly states that the article will be recreated, and that recent editing patterns that led to the block will be continued. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 09:43, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now that it's 'clear to you' in accordance with the rules on Conflicts of Interest what articles will you be editing? Q T C 06:00, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Loss of talk page editing privileges

As you keep removing the block/unblock notices above, I have removed your ability to edit this page, and have protected it so that only admins can edit it.

As a result, it is not possible for you to request an unblock using this page.

If you want to request an unblock, your remaining option is to appeal to the Arbitration Committee. Do not create a new account, or sockpuppet to file an appeal. Rather, you should contact the Ban Appeals Subcommittee via email at arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org to have your case reviewed.
