Please examine this draft very carefully, when you will see that there are at least two articles here, perhaps more. If you are writing a biography please write that article, and do not digress into other topics in detail. They can be mentioned, of course they can

Looks at flowery language. Remove it. Example: "was a humble man who had strong devotion to family, God, and country" You are not writing his eulogy, you are writing his biography.

Treat him as though he were living. For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, and is in WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today. I know he is deceased, but strive to hit that standard.

Writing a biography of a family member is hard. A small and well referenced article where others build it is likely tobe better than a weighty piece saying all that the family wishes to say. Please be pragmatic and restrained Fiddle Faddle 16:11, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

The comment the reviewer left was:

Genealogy in a self-published website is not an acceptable source. Stuff the subject wrote isn't allowable as sourcing. Places where the subject worked aren't truly independent of the subject. One source says that it "does not attempt to recapitulate all of the different published discussions... It is dedicated to presenting the view of Dr. Joseph M. Gambescia which needs to enter the stream of discussion about this important topic." which doesn't sound so objective to me. In all, no real case for notability.
