@Kailash29792: Needless to say, semmaiya irundhuthu. During the scene where Kamal weeps over his son's death, I was reminded of the spoof done by Chinni Jayanth in the 2001 film Dumm Dumm Dumm. Whenever "Thenpaandi Cheemayile" came up, I was reminded of Vadivelu getting beaten up in Vedigundu Murugesan (2009). "Naalu perukku udhvanumna thappu ille", "Avana nirutha sollu. (Especially if it is related to the film's development). Can you also find out whether Sirithu Vazha Vendum, Nagesh's autobiography is available with you. To answer your questions, I'll provide you with info on Thiruvilayadal from Ganesan's book by this eve. And for those other two books you mentioned, I would even pay to read them (but they don't look easily available). About Nagesh's autobio, nope I don't have it (Though this content may be from that). Anything regarding the film's development/origin and casting (other cast members barring Nagesh and Sivaji, as I have a lot of references about them. @Kailash29792: I have already collected a few references in my sandbox and am searching for more. It's my favourite MGR film as it was one of his first comedy films which had little social themes in it (except the "Pudhiya Vaanam" song).
