Hi Mike,
Regarding your request on my talk page, if when you say "wreak a little havoc on our network" you mean to want to act maliciously, I'm afraid the only suggestion I can offer you is to not do it. Don't act like a thug; it is not worthy of you. If you want to learn about computers and amaze people with your ability to do seamingly magical things with them, you don't have to be a malicious vandal. Try starting with How To Become A Hacker.
