Classmate Greetings[edit]

Hey, this Sabina from class. I just posted some articles that I've been thinking of working on for our class project on my user page. I'd love to know which of the articles you think would be best for me to work on! Thanks! Sabinajm (talk) 23:26, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message. I hope we have a wonderful class Chcpal (talk) 17:57, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings && Assignment Reminder[edit]

I look forward to seeing your 3-5 articles ideas, as well as a link to your critical evaluation of an existing Wikipedia article related to the class with suggestions for improving it on the article's discussion page. You can post those under this comment (make sure to add a semicolon to indent your comment to the right). Once you have posted these, please be sure to let me know on my talk page in the section I set up for these two assignments.--Theredproject (talk) 21:02, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

paragraphs on potential Subjects[edit]

I am very interested in doing more work on Geofroy Tory. I feel like he made major contributions to Graphic Design in France, especially with bringing France away from handwriting based print, and the wiki article on him is woefully bare. He created a book called 'Book of Hours' that brought books and publishing as an art to France. The way that Tory bound and published his books was not done previously.

I am also interested in doing work on David Horvitz. I am interested in him because unlike Tory, he is modern and from Brooklyn. His absurdest work is fascinating. He also does a lot of work with Wikipedia, which would relate well to our project.--TheBauhausCure (talk) 15:49, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I brought Horvitz into my class last semester to give a guest lecture. He is a very interesting and increasingly important artist, but I think that his WP page is already pretty filled out for the amount of work/duration of work. Tory provides much more opportunity to expand, and you should officially work on that article, but I encourage you to learn more about Hortvitz' work, and contribute to that article as well.--Theredproject (talk) 00:07, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
