AFC decline

Just a quick note, I came across this decline today. "There are external links in the text" is absolutely never the sole reason to decline. It can be part of a decline reason (e.g. "there are also external links that need removing") but going forward please do not decline drafts purely on aesthetic reasons (elinks, formatting, headers, etc). Regarding insufficient references

Hi TheBirdsShedTears. I realized that my first draft was a bit sloppy with references for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Kevin_Sinclair_(photographer) so I added all the references as you asked. It was a lot of online research but I am trying to learn from this photographer (I am learning photography) so it was nice to collect it to study his style. New Page Patrol newsletter September 2021

Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.

Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.

At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.

There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.

If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.

Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.

Thanks for reviewing my article, I am new at Wikipedia article creation. In my draft I provided all secondary reference sources for "Dr Sumeet Dahiya" which are not self published and "Dr Sumeet Dahiya" is a well known person in Esports Industry in India. I have given reference links of tournaments he played and won or reached to top of it. His social works references and his invited appearances in talk shows. Kindly guide me how I can modify my draft about "Dr Sumeet Dahiya", as his name in Esports and social works in India have a quite good fan base.

An actor playing 30 minute screen time in 2 different movie, playing second lead role (friend of lead actor in movie), playing 1 hour screen time in a webseries which was ranked no.1 by imdb… playing a role in hollywood movie is not notable for you. ? There are no specific guidelines for Hollywood films. We treat every film industry equally. Your draft fails to pass WP:NACTOR. It says

Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions;

or

Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.

Greentech2, Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft is the prime example of advertisement and possibly affected by conflict of interest. Read other similar articles on Wikipedia to get an idea how to develop an encyclopaedic article. Please ask your question at AfC help desk or visit Wikipedia:Teahouse for further assistance regarding your advert draft. This article clearly lacks encyclopaedic WP:TONE and has been deleted multiple times under WP:G11. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vivek Bindra (2nd nomination).
