Just popped in to check on the progress of our crusade. Looks like things are coming along well, my committee is meeting at this moment to propose new articles to place under capital punishment!!TheDeletator 21:19, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there

[edit]

Just noticed your message -- thanks for the invite. To answer your question, the instructions included a link that was incorrect -- Step 3 used to lead to Votes for Deletion instead of Pages for Deletion. I left a note at a discussion page, and someone fixed the problem. I will try another test deletion tonight.

It is unbelievable how much crap gets posted on this site, and the attitude of some of the admins and long-time users who can't seem to bring themselves to delete it. Last night I actually tagged a category stub template titled "movie characters who really excel at anal sex." Also tagged pages for girls appearing on a new reality TV show (each one with her own page, with links to the show), someone's resume, and a page dedicated to one scene in one movie (with a note about how Miami looks really different now in person).

One problem I have is: You don't appear to be have been registered for very long. If you will share your e-mail, I will copy it (then delete it), send you a private message, and we can talk about this off-line.

I'm not saying I'll join your little club, but it looks interesting, and if will follow protocol and clean things up properly, I may be interested. Paul Klenk 21:42, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you can specify in your preferences to allow others to e-mail you, without having to divulge your e-mail address. Go to my talk page, click on "E-mail this user" on the left of the screen, and you'll see how it works. Paul Klenk 22:13, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and one last thing: "Ich bin ein Berliner." Paul Klenk

Good job...

...on some of your VfDs. Keep in touch, will you? Paul Klenk 05:14, 27 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Except for Cuckmere Haven, of course. What were you thinking, arguing with the BBC? Paul Klenk

Just e-mailed you [end of message]

Some advice

[edit]

I just read your profile about your crusade against bad Wikipedia articles. As much as I agree with you that bad articles should not be posted, I ask that you use still use the peer-review process inherent to the Wikipedia site. The discussions about deleting or changing an article should be in the open and able to be discussed and defended by everyone. I recently saw that you put the "esquivalience" article up for deletion without posting any discussion about why you specifically intended to do so.

I dont have a problem with your mission so much as the language you use in your rant; you clearly state that you will begin putting articles up for deletion that do not meet YOUR standards, which you will discuss on another site and you will only follow designated policies "for now". Not only is the threatening tone unnecessary and insulting to the community but against the very goal of the site. I appreciate your zealousness to have a firm line of what is relevant and irrelevant, but that is for everyone to decide. wesman83 August 27, 2005

Wiki brah

[edit]

He needs some kind of time-out, that's for sure. I'll try and get through to him one last time. If he continues the weirdness, an RfC is certainly in order, if only to wake him up. - Lucky 6.9 04:13, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You just missed the fun at "dirty hangover." To think, I was just about to sign off for the night.  :) I snuck one more peek at the new pages...and I didn't even have to look at the signature to know who wrote it. I can't do this to myself anymore. I don't work this hard for a freaking paycheck. Go for it. I'll support you. That wake-up call is long overdue. All but three of his surviving "articles" are on VfD, and I'm the one who salvaged two of them. - Lucky 6.9 05:14, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sadly, 'tis time. Like I said, I can't do this alone. - Lucky 6.9 05:34, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dearest Deletator, the "Wiki brah" saga has ended and I have pulled the plug. Check out those bizarro notes on my talk page and the RfC. This was just weirding me out. Good feedback thus far from some top users. - Lucky 6.9 06:17, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'm not the most religious person on the planet, but I found myself praying for him and for some guidance last night. Been thinking about it today as well. I'll drop you that e-mail in a bit. - Lucky 6.9 19:52, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I rather not comment on that anymore

[edit]

(using neighbors computer don't block please) There's alot of user's out there that have insulted worse than me. At least I censored the words. I think may have argued with you aswell I don't know, but I took the weight off you shoulders, and overreacted, The reason I said that was because I was surprised, and the 6.9 user dont understand. well hopefully I wont get banned. I wont even watch Paul Klenks pages anymore. Unsingned comment by Imdaking

This is getting ridiculous...and I'm sorry about the Klenk thing. These are the reasons I'm taking some breaks from this place myself. - Lucky 6.9 23:42, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Just trying to straighten out the hassle...sorry this has interfered with your enjoyment here. Only seems to take one or two vandals to suck down innocent users. Good luck in your studies. - Lucky 6.9 05:00, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
