GA bot

Hi SandDoctor. A while ago you answered a request to take over some bots that are involved in the GA process. I will admit that I lost track of where that discussion ended up. Is this still happening? I recently closed a lot of WP:GARs and was reminded that the archive function hasn't worked for about four years now. AIRcorn (talk) 00:37, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

  • Two more administrator accounts were compromised. Evidence has shown that these attacks, like previous incidents, were due to reusing a password that was used on another website that suffered a data breach. If you have ever used your current password on any other website, you should change it immediately. All admins are strongly encouraged to enable two-factor authentication, please consider doing so. Please always practice appropriate account security by ensuring your password is secure and unique to Wikimedia.
  • As a reminder, according to WP:NOQUORUM, administrators looking to close or relist an AfD should evaluate a nomination that has received few or no comments as if it were a proposed deletion (PROD) prior to determining whether it should be relisted.

Hi there! I've been asked by TheSandDoctor to step in and respond to your message here and assist you. First and foremost, Wikipedia's behavioral guidelines on conflict of interest highly discourage users who have a personal conflict of interest with the article subject from editing or even discussing it on Wikipedia. Doing so adds issues to the article, since someone close to the subject edited it. It also makes it nearly impossible for the article to be worded to reflect a neutral point of view. Instead, you can follow the instructions in order to make edit requests. These will allow you to request another editor review the changes you believe should be made (make sure to include reliable sources to support those changes), and have another editor make the change for you (assuming they approve). This way, you'll be able to help with updating the article, but you won't be violating any policies and guidelines. Also, if you're being paid or compensated in any way to be on Wikipedia and make these changes, you are required to disclose this information per Wikipedia's Terms of Use. Please follow the instructions listed here in order to properly disclose this information if you're being paid to edit Wikipedia in any way.
If you have any questions, you're welcome to respond here or you're welcome to ask them on my user talk page (click here to go there). Myself, or another admin, will be happy to answer any questions you have and help you. I appreciate your understanding and your cooperation in this matter, and I hope you have a great day. :-) Best regards - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:01, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

Global locks at SPI

Hey TSD, your requests for global locks at meta, when needed, are enormously helpful. Thanks!--Bbb23 (talk) 22:56, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

@Bbb23: You're welcome! I try to help out wherever and however I can. Lately, that seems to be making global lock requests on meta that I find need doing in open and recently closed SPI cases. --TheSandDoctor Talk 01:36, 15 April 2019 (UTC)

Subpages

Hey TSD, I saw you were the deleting admin. on the MfDs of Portal:Ainu and Portal:Ajman. Those portals have a bunch of subpages as well; can you take care of them or do I have to tag each subpage with CSD G8 myself instead? Thanks! UnitedStatesian (talk) 02:42, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

@UnitedStatesian: Thanks for pointing those out. I should have looked for subpages at the time, but clearly forgot,  Done. --TheSandDoctor Talk 03:36, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Keith Richards

The article Keith Richards you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Keith Richards for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Mohd faheem

Why delete this page sir Monismansoori (talk) 06:12, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello @Monismansoori:. The article has not been deleted, but has been proposed for deletion on the grounds that it as, quite frankly, undecipherable as to who this person is nor their significance. This leads me to believe that it is possibly a poor translation(?). The reason for this is clearly displayed on the article and your talk page. If you have any questions about editing Wikipedia, please do feel free to ask. One thing that I would request though is that you read your talk page and remove the statement that you are an administrator and other falsehoods present on your userpage. They do not gain you any respect and are extremely easy to debunk. --TheSandDoctor Talk 07:03, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
