Add a subject/headline to your message. If you're making a reply, go back to my talk page, find your message, and click "Edit" next to the subject. Add a colon (:) to the beginning of your response to indent it. See an example here.
Include the name of the article or page that you're inquiring about.
Sign your message by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the very end of the message body.
