Congrats!

Congrats, and thanks for improving Socrates Nelson. Great to see it getting promoted as a featured article! That is a real achievement! Regards, – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 18:53, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

December songs
  • same! - When should he appear for TFA? - Best wishes for your health! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:12, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Thanks to both of you! You've both been incredibly helpful in improving the article to actually make it FA-worthy. As far as when this might be TFA: even though the queue isn't booked that far out (currently until early February), I was thinking of nominating it for May 6, since that's when he died. I would've done January 11, but it's just slightly too late for that. I don't mind at all if it's a random date, but I just figured nominating it for a semi-relevant date would make for a stronger case. What are your thoughts, Kavyansh and Gerda?
      • I am not keen on days of death. As for birthday, let's see what Jim thinks who scheduled January, and has someone on 11 January whose birthday is on 8 January. It actually doesn't mater too much when it's not someone extra famous whose birth is celebrated worldwide, such as Beethoven was last year. I think if not 11 January 2022, I'd go for any date. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:03, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
      • Up-to you ... I'll go for May 6, if not January 11 ... Also, you should try for Wikipedia:Triple Crown/Nominations for Socrates Nelson. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 05:08, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
  • I'm reluctant to change January again so near the start of the month. If you want May 6, thinka bout a WP:TFAR for that date to make sure. If you want it sooner, Gog the Mild is scheduling Feb Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:33, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
  • @Jimfbleak: That's okay. I think I'm going to request April 11, since that's the date the Washington County Historical Society was founded. Since the date doesn't matter much and since doing the death date might be weird, I figured I'd throw in a bit of an Easter egg for an organization that took time out of their day to help some rando on the Internet put the finishing touches on this article (and who created some of the citations used in the article in the first place in the form of local news stories). TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 21:52, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
  • If you put it at TFAR when we get to April, I'm probably scheduling that month too
  • Alright. I changed my mind, though, and actually decided to shoot for March 3, only requesting April 11 if March 3 isn't feasible. TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 18:05, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Triple Crown

Congratulation to TheTechnician27, who is awarded a Triple Crown for their outstanding contributions to Socrates Nelson. Damien Linnane (talk) 08:30, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Congratulations TheTechnician27. And yes, just for the record their is no separate Triple Crown for achieving the award for one article, though the feat is nonetheless impressive! Damien Linnane (talk) 08:30, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Thomas Willett page, major edit

Many thanks for your feedback, exactly what I was looking for to conform to the Wikipedia standards. Regarding the SYNTH and SELFREF policies, not sure I agree with the policies, but I don't have any problem with complying with them. I think the "uncited excerpts" you are referring to must be those where the "citation needed" label has been attached; these are legacies from the current edition of this page, and not something I added. I think I've found where some of these came from, and will so reference them when I do my next edit before moving this over to the "official" page. If you have any other uncited excerpts of concern, please specify where they are and I'll try to fix the problem(s).

Thanks again.
