Hi, sorry to see the article did not have enough reviews. You'll probably wait a few months - if so, I can give my own review in a month or two, if you want. More eyes, you know ... Best regards Hekerui (talk) 15:22, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Nirmala (novel)

The article Nirmala (novel) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Nirmala (novel) for things which need to be addressed. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jaguar -- Jaguar (talk) 20:01, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Hey, TH - I fixed all but adding a Reception section and expanding the Background. Ball is in your court. I'll copy edit whatever you write. AtsmeConsult 02:12, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure whether there was a reception comment or something like that in those days in India. Premchand was held in reverence then and now and none of his other novels have that reception section. Now with the background, the reason which failed it last time. I have tried my best to include the entire content available in the internet. I once spotted an excerpt, the dialogue between Nirmala and Rukhmini, when she was dying and handing over her daughter into her hands. I forgot the PDF and only have the Hindi version. If I could include it as an excerpt in background, its done. It actually summarizes the entire novel as well as the novel's message. I'm searching the full English version for months. -The Herald the joy of the LORDmy strength 02:24, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Joint venture....? Lets do it..-The Herald the joy of the LORDmy strength 02:46, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
Would love to take the lead but am embroiled in my essay User:Atsme/sandbox_Advocacy_ducks at the moment, not to mention the 14 Infallibles, Ismah, and the Taj Mahal. If you do move forward on it, I recommend using the following hook or something like it - The marriage of a young teenaged girl to an older man, the question of dowry, and consequently mismatched marriages and related issues set the stage for this novel. AtsmeConsult 21:36, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

That's all I can do for today - have fixed the 70s, 80s 90s but out of time to tackle the more recent stuff. I hope you don't mind how much I deleted, but it's been hard to find references. Especially NB I took out the part about him being charged after the June 1985 bombings - I don't think that should stay unreferenced in a biography but I couldn't find a source. I may not be able to help for next several days; good luck with making further progress.Taknaran (talk) 04:13, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Pact of Steel as GA

Good morning, I just saw that you just gave GA status to the Pact of Steel article. I am sincerely puzzled about that decision. For me, the article is barely a start class article. The background section is a joke, there is nothing about the reasons that pushed Italy and Germany to sign the pact, the paragraph about Japan is at the best undue weight. Last but not least, there is nothing about the consequences of the pact, which were enormous. Thanks for your answer. Alex2006 (talk) 08:49, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for writing to me. I could see no such problems which would have stopped the article from a GA top icon. They are well referenced and meets all other GA criteria. Though I felt in the beginning like you about the missing of a consequences section, (see the review page please), a good amount of reasoning and results are given in the article. IMO, it's fine. Even then, if you feel that I was wrong, since you are more experienced in these, reassess it and please let me know. Thanks.. :) -The Herald the joy of the LORDmy strength 09:03, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I think that I'll do that. Nothing personal against you or the proponent, of course, but I think that this article still needs a lot of work before reaching GA status. Bye, Alex2006 (talk) 09:19, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi again Alex2006. I think it's sad that you didn't participate in the GA-review with additional comments if you think the article is far from reaching GA-status. Personally, I find words like "The background section is a joke" somewhat offensive, as I wrote that section. I too see no real or serious problems with the article, and I've written and reviewed many GA-articles. Best, Jonas Vinther • (speak to me!) 13:12, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Hallo Jonas, you should not feel offended, (and if you feel so, I beg your pardon: I respect your work here) it is just that I know the subject moderately well and, as I wrote you before the assessment, I think that the article lacked (and still lacks) a lot of necessary information. But you are right, I should have been there during the assessment, but unfortunately I noticed it only this morning. The other possibility, which I take seriously, is that I did not understand yet what "good article" means (I only collaborated to help reaching GA status to a couple of them, like this one, which now has FA status). I'll ask a couple of expert friends and, if they agree with my opinion, when I will have time to work seriously on it I will ask for a reassessment and collaborate to bring the necessary information there. Bye, Alex2006 (talk) 13:40, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Gorakhpur Junction railway station

I'd just like to understand your edit to Gorakhpur Junction railway station. Did you remove the confusing material (along with my two notes to editors) because they didn't make any sense? If so, that's fine. I guess I wasn't sure what your edit summary was referring to, the deleted material or my two notes, or both. CorinneSD (talk) 22:52, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

@CorinneSD, I could deduce no meaning and use why it should be there? It seems like someone have included it like a petition or something. That's all..:)02:21, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
O.K. That's fine. Thanks. CorinneSD (talk) 19:43, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Taj Mahal under moonlight

The photo is dark There is no light when people are allowed to view the Taj Mahal under moonlight and that is the reason it is dark, the only light is moonlight Thanks Arun — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunshank (talkcontribs) 09:40, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Now no more reverts..you could be blocked for edit warring.... The pictures is told dark for the article. Check out this to have a look what is expected from a night view. You are just showing a dim outline of Tag aganist horizon with no encyclopedic value... Thanks..-The Heraldthe joy of the LORDmy strength 09:45, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Please understand the link shows pictures of buildings in the night with light in the case of Taj the night viewing no artificial lighting in allowed only the moon light please let me know how to put a picture of Taj only in the moon light please dint threatened me with blocking in every message please so tell me constructive Please look at the link you sent and see that all the buildings have artificial light Are you getting what I am trying to say Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunshank (talkcontribs) 09:54, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

There are no pictures of the Taj in the web under moonlight and the picture I feel is of encyclopedic value, can I revert the edit and put it back with your king permission Please give your kind opinion on this and suggest a constructive edit Thanks Sincerely Arun — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunshank (talkcontribs) 09:58, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Please try to understand my say. The picture is too dark (as it is shot at pitch dark from a place where I have already been) and too grainy that it will have nothing such as encyclopedic value anywhere near it. Well, I am not editwarring with you. But sure to see how much long will it be there in the article. @Atsme: What do you think about this? -The Heraldthe joy of the LORDmy strength 10:16, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

The moonlit Taj Mahal will be dark as it is only the moonlight, I am trying my best to make my point and you keep repeating that it is dark, you say you have been there, how was it under the moonlight please do let me know Anything that is unique and not available can be used for an encyclopedia, a picture being dark and grainy does not make in unsuitable for wiki specially when there are no other ones in the catagory — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunshank (talkcontribs) 13:41, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

You have said "as it is shot at pitch dark from a place where I have already been" what I am trying to tell you is that , that is essence of the edit - Taj Mahal in moonlight, it was not shot in pitch dark, please try to understand, it was shot in moonlight and viewing the Taj in moonlight is special — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunshank (talkcontribs) 13:49, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Gagne

Herald, so happens I grew up in Minneapolis, where Verne Gagne was from. I can tell you that in the area he was considered a buffoon – and something of a charlatan for constantly pushing his patent-medicine elixirs (which if memory serves were called Gerilac and Gerispeed) Saturday afternoons on local (non-network) TV. I suspect the audience for these programs consisted mainly of old men and adolescent boys. Sca (talk) 13:01, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Just going to butt in here, and say that notability in ones field is not directly related to whether they are universally loved. Hulk Hogan is a very controversial figure amongst wrestling fans, but that doesn't diminish the fact that he's one of the biggest stars ever in the industry. -- Scorpion0422 16:31, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Support request with team editing experiment project

Dear tech ambassadors, instead of spamming the Village Pump of each Wikipedia about my tiny project proposal for researching team editing (see here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IdeaLab/Research_team_editing), I have decided to leave to your own discretion if the matter is relevant enough to inform a wider audience already. I would appreciate if you could appraise if the Wikipedia community you are more familiar with could have interest in testing group editing "on their own grounds" and with their own guidance. In a nutshell: it consists in editing pages as a group instead of as an individual. This social experiment might involve redefining some aspects of the workflow we are all used to, with the hope of creating a more friendly and collaborative environment since editing under a group umbrella creates less social exposure than traditional "individual editing". I send you this message also as a proof that the Inspire Campaign is already gearing up. As said I would appreciate of *you* just a comment on the talk page/endorsement of my project noting your general perception about the idea. Nothing else. Your contribution helps to shape the future! (which I hope it will be very bright, with colors, and Wikipedia everywhere) Regards from User:Micru on meta.
