Welcome

[edit]

Hello, The Spith/Archive 1, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Granted (as is said below) this is late, we on the welcome committee occassionally overlook someone like yourself. If you need a hand, ask! FrankB 15:27, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First Welcome

[edit]

This is a bit late because you seem to have been editing for quite a while now, but welcome to Wikipedia! Your contributions are appreciated. If you need any help, feel free to ask on my talk page, or read Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. --Fuzzie (talk) 19:43, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

rowing

[edit]

I have cut down the rowing information on the Hampton School page. Perhaps you would like to cut it down further and add the removed details to its own stub/page.

Signing talk comments

[edit]

Its a great help to everyone if you use ~~~~ to produce your username and timestamp when you sign on talk pages, like I have at the end of this comment. Thanks. Ian3055 20:52, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed userbox

[edit]

I tried to bypass a userbox redirect from Template:User Dune:Spice to User:Bisco/Userboxes/Dune spice per WP:GUS. But in your Babel-table only templates (starting with "template:user ...") can be included (at least I couldn't find a way). So I decided to remove the redirect from the table. If you still want to include the userbox, you can copy and paste this code: {{User:Bisco/Userboxes/Dune spice}}. Best regards --Bisco 09:54, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found a way and have now the userbox with the new location added to your babel table. --Bisco 01:14, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. --The Spith 12:18, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project Stub Sort

[edit]

Hello,

Thank you for your stub submission. You may wish to note that it is preferable to use a stub template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types instead of using simply {{stub}}, if you can.

Thanks!

Welcome to Esperanza!

[edit]

Welcome, The Spith, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. You can support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Your article, Anatomy of a stroke, was selected for DYK!

[edit]
Updated DYK query On December 25, 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Anatomy of a stroke, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Thanks for your contributions! ++Lar: t/c 09:03, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that was easier than I thought it would be. Thanks. Although I've just realised it would be useful to have 'catch' and 'extraction' highlighted in bold, as they are in the article. It's only a minor point though.--The Spith 10:23, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
