Welcome!

Hello, Theatenist, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Dougweller (talk) 10:16, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Akhenaten, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. and Tutankhamun Dougweller (talk) 05:58, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Tutankhamun does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! October 2012

[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Tutankhamun without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Jim1138 (talk) 06:30, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I added information on why I removed some content

Hello, Theatenist. You have new messages at Jim1138's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

You really need to read WP:VERIFY, WP:RS and WP:NOR if you don't want your edits reverted. It's a shame to put in all that hard work for nothing. Mind you, I had mine reverted before I read our policies and guidelines carefully. Dougweller (talk) 09:28, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:Sculpture of Thutmose Himself.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sculpture of Thutmose Himself.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:00, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Anen, second prohphet of amun, Anen.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:07, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
