Wayan Punrata

This articles author has removed the deletion tags. How can the article be removed peaceably?Reedman72 (talk) 06:41, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

The article creator is not supposed to remove deletion tags. I'll keep an eye out and revert unexplained removals of deletion tags. If no reason is given, it's best to reinstate it, unless it keeps going back in forth; in that case, step back before an edit war happens. Thekillerpenguin (talk) 06:59, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

This is an academic website which changed a link that has been on this page since the 2nd edit. All I did was update the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannyboyclemson (talkcontribs) 03:09, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

What you did was fine, but what wasn't really good was the part where it directed you to another website to read. In general, you don't put that in the text of the article; it goes in the external links as long as it's OK. You can put the link in the External Links section if you'd like, but I don't think that the little pointer to a full biography belongs in the article. Childhood poverty page.

Thanks for your input and redirection of my page. It was written like an essay, that is because it was part of an essay. It was required by my english class that we attempt to publish a paragraph lining some of the main points from out essays. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AshleyJene1219 (talkcontribs) 20:42, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

@AshleyJene1219:Thanks for clarifying. It was a good faith effort, so there won't be any repercussions. Just remember in the future that if you must publish something, check if there is an article on the same topic, and make sure you make the tone encyclopedic. Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

Today's motto...

Wikipedia: Our bots are smarter than most vandals. === August ===

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Request for usurpation

Hello, Thekillerpenguin. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because another user would like to use it to edit. The changing username guideline allows a username that is not being actively used to be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.

If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).

If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation. Any objection on your part will prevent usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time. TempUName (talk) 22:43, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Usurpation  Not done by Writ Keeper (talk · contribs). MM (I did the who in the whatnow?) (I did it!) 20:31, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

Hmm, a lot has happened in my hiatus. Just for future reference, I do not consent to being usurped at any point in the new future. Thekillerpenguin (talk) 06:23, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
To note, TempUName damn well deserves your username, your refusal to consent will be sanctioned accordingly. I hold it true that you will let it happen or be reported to admins 31.53.229.248 (talk) 09:45, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
To note, I damn well deserve my own username. Besides, I haven't done anything wrong, so there isn't much to report. Thekillerpenguin (talk) 22:11, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
