Qamishli[edit]

Your source said that the city is jointly managed between the Kurds and the government. That's what your source says: Assad forces and the government is basically present in three places in Qamishli: One is in the center so they call it kind of ‘security square,’ you know, the center of town. I think that also includes some Arab neighborhoods. So the regime is there, but as you know, there is an agreement or accommodation so the Asayish forces and the government forces are sometimes passing each other in the street, and they tolerate each other, or there is an agreement, obviously, in an accommodation to allow each other’s presence. And here's another source confirms this. The regime retains wide control in Hassakeh city and in the city of Qamishli. Al Monitor Hanibal911 (talk) 13:31, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And as you can see on the map shows that the city is mainly controlled by the Kurds but the army is in the city center and around the city. Hanibal911 (talk) 13:38, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your understanding. 15:00, 5 March 2014 (UTC)Hanibal911 (talk)

It's not that I agree with you, just didn't want to edit it without proper discussion. Here's another source: "The PYD-backed Jazeera Canton government now runs most of Qamishli city." http://carnegieendowment.org/syriaincrisis/?fa=54794 --TheoDor12 (talk) 19:05, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
