Hi. To answer your question, it appeared as if you simply cut and pasted something from another site. That's a violation of copyright law since the text on this site is supposed to be available for free. Putting copyrighted material here violates the original copyright of the owner. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:17, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi again. I understand. As this is my website and I own the company that owns the website, does that mean I cannot put information about our company and the website unless 'someone' else does? I would liek to have to site prepared before we launch this week. I personally own the copyright, URL, images and information for www.diinker.com. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pjdp (talk • contribs) 03:19, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- You could, but that brings up a plethora of issues. First off, there's the conflict of interest factor, covered here and the advertising factor found here. Next is the issue of notability, found here and here. I can tell you from experience that an article on a start-up company simply won't stay. Finally, there's the copyright issue. Even if it's yours, you'd have to release it over on your site to the free documentation license on this site. That effectively voids your original copyright and leaves your content open for anyone who cares to use it. I wish you luck with the endeavor, but I'm afraid it's simply too soon for an article. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:12, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
