welcome[edit]

welcome Thewildblueyonder, and thanks for your categorization work. I have two comments:

  • avoid creation of new categories with very few members (such as Category:Kizzuwatna people). Even if it makes sense in principle to have a "Kizzuwatna people" category, it is useless to have one unless there are, say, at least half a dozen articles in it. Otherwise, having one is actually counter-productive, since it makes category-browsing more awkward.
I was of two minds about doing this, but it seems to help if, say, the Biography or Royalty or ... editors want to tie into a subject. I suppose I could make stub articles out of the red links to flesh it out.
  • It is ok for a redirect to be in categories. It will show up on the category page in italics. This is especially useful for {{R with possibilities}}, redirects of titles that could in priniciple become full articles in the future. dab (𒁳) 08:35, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
