Hello[edit]

Hello and welcome to WikiProject Chess! The user box normally goes on your User page, but anywhere is fine with me.

In the Chess area there are plenty of things to do, depending of your level of interest. One thing that springs to mind is adding info boxes to all chess players biographies.

A Infobox chess player is already found on many pages like Mikhail Chigorin, Mikhail Botvinnik for dead people and for a living person Susan Polgar, Anatoly Karpov etc In cases of no photo available Hans Berliner is a good example.

I normally do a few each day but there are perhaps still 1000 chess players to do and it looks like there is more then enough to be doing for quite a time to come. A full list of chess players is found List_of_chess_topics#Biographical_articles here although working to a shorter list like List of chess grandmasters might be more interesting.

More things to do in the chess pages are listed on Wp:WikiProject Chess.

I've read the note that you left in place of an article at Reaction limited aggregation. In general, that's not how we do things here at Wikipedia. If you want to create an article over a period of time, what's usually done is to create a "sandbox" page -- such as at User:Thinktank2006/Sandbox, and if you click there, you'll create it -- work on the article there until it's ready to mount, and then mount it. Leaving a note saying that you're going to create an article in the future is not really very useful and will be deleted almost immediately, because it doesn't contain any useful information for someone who is interested in the topic. If you have any questions about Wikipedia policy, or wish further help, feel free to leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:40, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
