AfD nomination of Ashley Hermitage

I have nominated Ashley Hermitage, an article you created, for deletion. Simply removing the AfD notice will not help the article, quite the contrary, it only shows you don't want or can come up with points in favour of keeping the article. andy (talk) 16:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Notability

No, there are no rules that say that a student can't have an article about them. The way to make sure that this article is not deleted is to provide evidence that the subject, Ashley, is notable, which is often shortened to WP:N - if you follow that link it'll tell you what makes a person sufficiently notable to have an article about them. There's more information on what makes a person notable enough for a biography at WP:BIO.

Unfortunately, notability isn't transferrable, so while Wiley is a significant organisation, it doesn't help much in this case. If you can show that the subject meets any of the criteria at WP:BIO and WP:N, then add that information to the article and put a note to that effect on the deletion debate at AfD.
