2010 in alternative music

Hello, I redirected 2010 in alternative music to Timeline of alternative rock. No other such articles exist for the genre, and it is unnecessary to do so given the timeline article, as well as the fact that the year has just begun. WesleyDodds (talk) 08:59, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

I'll continue to monitor the 2010 in alternative rock page. It is nothing personal, but your timeline is very ehh... exclusive. Many major events are not mentioned, and the style is messy. This article fits well with the already existing heavy metal and country genre specific year pages. In all your list is just a list; a list that I think doesn't grasp the whole spectrum of alternative rock. This way we can add more to a great genre of music (personal bias) (Tigerghost (talk) 07:30, 23 January 2010 (UTC))

Keep in mind Wikipedia is not a news site, nor a crystal ball, nor an indiscriminate collection of information. Also, just because there are similar articles is not a rationale for making this article. Much of the material is not suitable for a Wikipedia article or list, for various reasons. What you can keep is pretty much material that should go in Timeline of alternative rock. Another problem is that from the formatting and layout it's unclear if it's a list or an article. Video prohibition act

Hi Christopher. I would like to encourage you to write an article about the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act of 2010. The table at Presidency of Barack Obama is meant for major legislation. I don't want to remove your addition, but someone else might, as it is the only piece of legislation there that does not have its own article. The links there should not be to ambiguated (general issue) articles, but to legislation articles. I will watch your talk page here for a response; I will presume that if you can't or don't wish to respond here within a week's time, that you're busy elsewhere and I will remove the act from the table until such time as an article is written. The article Politics of Illinois is not about that sort of ooh!ooh! looks who's ahead game-playing of one party against another. The image has been deleted as a matter of procedure due to the lack of licensing information. However, the image can be restored once somebody from the OTRS team handles the ticket. I don't know how quickly OTRS tickets are turned around as I have never dealt with them directly, but I have heard that it can take quite some time.
