[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VPMi Lifecycle Process Map.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free media (Image:VPMi Lifecycle Process Map.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VPMi Lifecycle Process Map.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:30, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. --Hu12 (talk) 23:01, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

VPMI

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I'd first of all like to apologize for not informing you of the deletion. Thank you for contacting me, and I probably should have contacted you. If you would like the article undeleted, I would suggest looking at the deletion review process. It is the best place for such requests, and it will of course be treated fairly. However, one of the problems was the company's notability. I also suggest you read Wikipedia's notability guidelines, and Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. I know that policy and guidelines can be very confusing for newcomers, so please let me know if you have any trouble. Again, I encourage you to take your concern to Deletion review. Thank you, and again, welcome. Best regards, Keilana 23:46, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vpmi Article - Second Request for a Reply

[edit]

Dear Keilana, I am writing to request that the article for Vpmi be restored. You identified it as spam. The article is about a notable project management tool. The language used in writing the article was taken primarily from 3rd party articles in relevant technology publications about the Vpmi solution (see reference section of article). In addition, the software is referenced and talked about at length in two books that are currently used by classrooms across the country for educating graduate students on project and portfolio management (also included as links in the reference section of the article). By all accounts this article is relevant and should be restored. It has been on Wikipedia for months and was not challenged by anyone monitoring its presence on the List of Project Management Software, which is a page that gets considerable attention. Please reply as soon as possible. I am surprised that subsequent posts to your talk page have been answered while my request was not addressed. I look forward to your reply. --Tilleyg (talk) 20:15, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pardon me if I'm butting in, Keilana. Tilleyg, I reviewed the contents of the deleted article and I fully support the deletion of the article. The article was blatant advertising of a non-notable subject. Dreadstar 20:26, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also have reviewed the contents of the deleted article, support its deletion and agree with the reasoning given above. Your contributions, consist entirely of promoting Vpmi. It is quite evident that this account is only contributing to Wikipedia in order to promote Vpmi/ [1]. Few people will edit tendentiously or argue ad nauseum topics in which they have no connection. The bigger picture clearly shows someone who is using Wikipedia to promote their own interests.--Hu12 (talk) 23:04, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, and sorry for the delay in reply. As two other administrators in excellent standing agree with my deletion, I am not willing to unilaterally overturn the deletion. However, if you still believe that the article should be undeleted, you should open a request at deletion review. Thanks for your dedication and commentary. Regards, Keilana 23:41, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just out of curiosity, do you have any personal connections to VPMI? Keilana 21:14, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, I am not willing to undelete the article, the place for that is deletion review. In order for the article to be kept, it must be written neutrally and must be notable and verifiable. I have reviewed the article, and much of the language was not neutral, and the article did not assert the subject's notability. If you really feel I messed up, ask for my recall; I will entertain requests. Keilanatalk(recall) 22:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, but it may still get deleted. If it does, I suggest deletion review; no admin will unilaterally overturn it. Regards, Keilanatalk(recall) 00:08, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Vpmi

[edit]

An editor has nominated Vpmi, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vpmi and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:29, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Vpmi

[edit]

I have nominated Vpmi, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vpmi (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
