User talk:Tim Freeman - Taylor Woodrow
Signature
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:44, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
How to proceed with a conflict of interest
[edit]It looks as though you are getting to grips with editing on Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest . You have probably already read the Wikipedia guidelines and it is probably also worth reading the free use guidelines if you intend to upload a logo. I see that you have already made some proposals on the article talk page , which is great and is the correct way to proceed as long as none of the wording is copied from another source - everything must be in your own words. You probably also need to make a conflict of interest declaration on your user page just so that everyone is clear where you are coming from. If you need any help, please feel free to ask on my talk page. Best of luck. Velella Velella Talk 15:06, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
As Velella has said above, it is necessary that "none of the wording is copied from another source - everything must be in your own words.". Some of the wording you added to Talk:Taylor Woodrow is clearly a copyright violation from http://www.taylorwoodrow.com/about-us/index.html As others have said on the article talk page, the language is too promotional to be used in Wikipedia, but in any case it can not be used without going through the processes defined at WP:Donating copyrighted material. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:41, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
