Spelling and grammar corrections[edit]

So far, all of your "corrections" to spelling and/or grammar have been incorrect. Please reconsider whether English spelling and grammar are areas you can be helpful in. Thanks. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:15, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It would be helpful if you could be specific in giving such feedback. Thank you and your feedback is very much welcome Timmyonguitar (talk) 17:25, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • A cappella is properly spelled as two words, not one. [1]C.Fred (talk) 17:29, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Taken note of that. Will be much careful about making such mistakes going forward. Thank you C.Fred Timmyonguitar (talk) 17:32, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Aluminum is the preferred spelling in articles about US subjects, per WP:ENGVAR. The past tense of plead is pled. [2] I don't think it's all your corrections, but it's a significant number. —C.Fred (talk) 17:34, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
C.Fred has noted a few, above, I'll add the rest here. (As of my comment that started this section, unfortunately it was all of them.)
  • [3]: You changed "kidnappers'" to "kidnapper's". The article indicates there was more than on kidnapper. The correct plural possessive adds the apostrophy after the "s": kidnappers -> kidnappers'. You also changed "moviegoers" to "movie goers". "Moviegoers" is one word.
  • [4] You changed "this" to "his". "This" makes sense in context. Your change from "hrw" to "Hor" seems to have been a guess; certainly not a spelling correction.
  • [5] In addition to other notes, he let them "tape" (i.e., record) the phone conversation. Yes, he let them "tap" the call (monitor it), but the recording of the call was important in context. - SummerPhDv2.0 01:11, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
