You may not have intended to, but you blanked the talk page of this article. I have restored it, because it contains useful links to Wikiprojects. I noticed that the reference you added refers to him as Chattopadhyay; that puzzled me, but I see from Chatterjee that it is an alternative version of the name. I have added Ramananda to that list. If he is often known by the other name, should we (a) make a redirect from Ramananda Chattopadhyay to this article, (b) explain in the article, for the benefit of readers like me who are unfamiliar with Indian family names? Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:16, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks John. I have added the explanation at the bottom (next to the reference itself). The anglicized surname caught on after say 1960s and most people use this version today - although the original Bengali surname is Chattopadhyay (and there are Mukherjee=Mukhopadhyay and Bannerjee=Bandopadhyay 's also). So I guess a redirection page is not required since he is not known by that name in common parlance. The reference is from Bangladesh - a little more 'traditional' - if you know what I mean.Tinkswiki (talk) 11:52, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IP User Notified; Suggestions

[edit]

I have warned the user based on the last few article edits on Sudhamoy Pramanick. I suggest you refer to the templates as per WP:USETEMP, and I do recommend that you user the Level 4im warning templates, especially when reporting vandalism. Although not all users may use that particular type of warning, I will leave that up to you. CHAK 001 (talk) 09:16, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please ignore the above advice: CHAK 001 is more than a little misguided. If you do in fact need some assistance with warning templates etc then feel free to contact a more experienced user. I, for one, would be more than happy to assist. - Sitush (talk) 08:34, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Indian Rebellion of 1857, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Residency (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

February 2015

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Death of Subhas Chandra Bose, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. It is your opinion that the 'truth' is in government records, the sources don't say that.
