Anime question

I've just done some extensive work on Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. Since I'm a little Bepoped after that, perhaps you could take a look at it and see if you can make any improvements. I'm asking because you seem up in the anime/manga sector, and I remember your find work on Vesperia First Strike. --ProtoDrake (talk) 21:12, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Dear Tintor2,

could you explain, why you removed the cast and the external link to imdb. Is the information on imdb incorrect ? Inwind (talk) 07:27, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Imdb is an unreliable source (users edit it) and it should be avoidedTintor2 (talk) 14:17, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Unless better sources are available I prefer information which may be unreliable over no information. Inwind (talk) 15:34, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Then you are ignoring guidelines and could be blocked.Tintor2 (talk) 21:38, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gintama: The Movie. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. WikiProject Research Invitation

Hello Wikipedians,

We’d like to invite you to participate in a study that aims to explore how WikiProject members coordinate activities of distributed group members to complete project goals. We are specifically seeking to talk to people who have been active in at least one WikiProject in their time in Wikipedia. Compensation will be provided to each participant in the form of a $10 Amazon gift card.

The purpose of this study is to better understanding the coordination practices of Wikipedians active within WikiProjects, and to explore the potential for tool-mediated coordination to improve those practices. Interviews will be semi-structured, and should last between 45-60 minutes. If you decide to participate, we will schedule an appointment for the online chat session. During the appointment you will be asked some basic questions about your experience interacting in WikiProjects, how that process has worked for you in the past and what ideas you might have to improve the future.

You must be over 18 years old, speak English, and you must currently be or have been at one time an active member of a WikiProject. The interview can be conducted over an audio chatting channel such as Skype or Google Hangouts, or via an instant messaging client. If you have questions about the research or are interested in participating, please contact Michael Gilbert at (206) 354-3741 or by email at mdg@uw.edu.

We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information sent by email.

License tagging for File:TsubasaWorldChronicle.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:TsubasaWorldChronicle.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:05, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

Ground Control (video game)

Hi.

I hope I am not caching you in a busy time; we haven't worked together for a very long time, but I think remember that you were active in the video game area of Wikipedia, right? If that's true, there is something that needs attention and is right up your area of expertise. I wonder if you could help.

I don't know how the article Ground Control (video game) has ended up in my watchlist, but today I spotted revision #655059478, in which an editor changed the article substantially, adding four additional problem tags and causing those problems in process. If one edit causes so many problems, it is probably best to revert it. But again, you probably know more than I. Perhaps, its best if you looked at it.

Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 19:39, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

I have played the game, alright. I can write its story in one paragraph: Crayven Co. attacks a planet occupied by OTND to occupy it; find Xenofacts there. Curious! (That's the whole Crayven campaign.) One of OTND commanders discovers that Ouch! These Xenofacts actually activate an army of robots that purges the entire galaxy! That's why top bosses in Crayven and OTND want it. So, let's blow up the central hub. The rest was sound and fury.
Unfortunately, my utmost lack of regard for the story means I cannot write it from a neutral point of view that Wikipedia requires. But ask me anything if that ultra-detailed Plot section has ambiguities.

I did some looking and saw that you were a big contributor to the said article. I thought you might be interested to know that I've done some major work on it, but my capacity has been exhausted slightly. It's only the gameplay section that needs work now, all the rest has been fixed as best as I can where it needed fixing. You could well have lost interest by now, but I thought you aught to know. Devil May Cry storyline was actually updated

Greetings Tintor2,

I assume that you remember our small argument about DMC storyline? Here is the link-> talk:Jozma7

I actually proved that Capcom, the owner and designer of DMC games, made a mistake, they listened to me and updated their DMC storyline. The proof is-> Devil May Cry: 3142 Graphic Arts (if you didn't know about it yet) which gave us the hint of the storyline update I was waiting for. Now, the only thing I want to know is that... am I responsible for that update?

Thank you for listing your dispute at Wikipedia:Third opinion. Your request did not follow the guidelines for listing disputes. These guidelines are in place because they make sure that the editor who writes the Third Opinion is not biased, and that (s)he can easily see what the dispute is about.

The description of the dispute should be concise and neutral, and you should sign with the timestamp only. A concise and neutral description means that only the subject matter of the dispute should be described, and not your (nor anyone else's) views on it. For example, in a dispute about reliable sources, do not write "He thinks this source is unreliable", but rather write "Dispute about the reliability of a source". To sign with only the timestamp, and without your username, use five tildes (~~~~~) instead of four.

Your request for a Third Opinion may have been edited by another editor to follow the guidelines - feel free to edit it again if necessary. If the dispute is of such a nature that it cannot follow the guidelines, another part of the dispute resolution process may be able to help you. For example, Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts is a good place to alert others to a particular editor's behaviour. Thank you for opting to use the dispute resolution process.

Shadow Hearts stuff

Hey there. I remember seeing you doing some edits in the development section of Shadow Hearts Covenant and I assume that you have some interest in the game/series. I've found some sources on Covenant, From The New World, and their predecessor Koudelka. Covenant isn't much, just a report from a gaming event that has some comments from game staff and the Japanese voice cast. For From The New World, it is a developer diary, all of which is both accessible now and archived. Koudelka has three interviews with Hiroki Kikuta which concern the game in varying degrees. The interview with Square Haven is arguably the hardest to implement since the WikiProject seems a little sticky about its use, but its the only version there is and other sites reference it, so I thought it would be acceptable in this case. And (trumpets please) the RocketBaby interview has him outright saying that he took his inspiration from Lovecraft, so there is some actual citable info to back that up at last! Apart from the references for Koudelka, all of them are in Japanese. All are accessible on the articles' talk pages. --ProtoDrake (talk) 21:29, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

A person with the IP address 179.99.4.122 was vandalising the KoF 14 page by adding Bandai Namco to the publisher section and saying that the gameplay is similar to Tekken. This is false as KoF 14 by early screenshots shows it is in a 2.5D plane while remaining faithful to the King of Fighters series. You don't need to address the vandalism because I already dealt with it, but if you see vandalism, remove the vandalism immediately. Kudos. UltraDark:) 2 CHAT 01:38, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

Cut-and-paste move

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give K′ a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into K'. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:HomemediaSeraphoftheEnd.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:HomemediaSeraphoftheEnd.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Steel1943 (talk) 23:56, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Mami Kawada

Many thanks for reviewing LiSA's page. Now, I actually have one more planned GAN on the pipeline: B-class article Mami Kawada, which is currently my top-edited article with 160 edits as of today. The article is in my opinion pretty good, with almost all statements being sourced (as opposed to when I started working on it three years ago when it had only a few sources and had a big orange BLP sources tag at the top), and its structure is not different from the recently-promoted-to-GA LiSA. Anyway, do you think it has a chance of passing a GAN, or does the article have problems that need to be addressed? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:07, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. You revert my edits.

Hello, my edits. 1. The article said "powerful demon Naraku" he is a half-demon said in animation and the manga. (in Japanese he is a hanyou) 2. The manga volume 1 page 11-13 is the day before Kagome Higurashi birthday. page 14 is the start of her birthday. The Animation follows the manga. 3. I added this edit because the manga has it 1997 for the English manga version and in the Japanese version it is 1996. "The year is 1996 for the Japanese version and 1997 for the English version." 4. I added "according to the animation" on this because the manga is different. Instead of hitting the bottom of the well, Kagome ends up 500 years in the past (1496) during Japan's Sengoku period according to the animation

I do not understand why your summary says "The series' full title already says it's Sengoku" I did not make that edit. I did revert back it back to fit the manga and animation. I did add a reference.

My sources are the manga and the animation. I was helping the article grow.

This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and that it doesn’t develop “dead links” over time. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the URL in the citation and paste it in the “Save Page Now” box on the archive.org site and click save. This creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new URL to add to the original citation. If you look at the URL I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new URL to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl=http etc|archivedate=9 May 2016}}. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind regards,
