Hello, TipTap21, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Welcome

Hi @TipTap21 I see your contributions on Hinduism related pages and some talk pages. I want to suggest places that has helped me find sources in Hinduism (and other areas as well): archive.org, google books, google scholar, college libraries for paper books, published papers etc. Also reading Wikipedia:List of policies often helps. Asteramellus (talk) 10:41, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Asteramellus Thank you for reaching out. You are the first one ever and i will never forget it. I usually have a very limited window to do my thing. I only come to Wikipedia to instigate change from time to time (success rate is quite high). But I am only an instigator, as I will almost always be targeted. It's up to you guys who understand what I am trying to do here, even when I am surrounded by hostile forces who would rather see me dead than just blocked.
I have no idea how many articles I have improved just before getting blocked. But the unfortunate part is I won't be able to do this for long because I am losing interest. Why should I always be the one to take the initiative? Very Few join afterward, of course, because most of the time I not only make sense but also expose evil (at least I like to think so).
But why always me? Why should I always start it? Why should I always fight? Why does only my blood boil? am I someone Wikipedia needs but does not deserve?lol! I mean, for God's sake, I even knew who was going to permanently block me in my mind: either Doug or Vanamonde, and it was Doug (although there are many more names I can take but these two were my intuition).
See you all next time! Because I have zero hopes from you all. Only I can do it. No one else. I realized it long ago. I dont want to but i know myself, i'll be back when these idoits would be in their comfort zone. I'll be back again to make them restless. TipTap21 (talk) 13:23, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @TipTap21 thanks for the message, but Wikipedia is not for disruptive editing and everyone here should be assumed as Good faith. I find Hinduism as too complex with so many similar and at the same time different philosophical thoughts, which indeed then has very wide spread of views in sources and from what I have seen, amongst Hinduism followers also. At times, you may find it difficult to accept views you don't agree with, but that's why there are talk pages (not different wiki sock accounts - seems that is what you have done) where you can discuss with others and come to consensus on what goes on the article. Plus editors often use wiki policies and reliable sources in their talk discussions, not just personal views on topics or other editors. e.g. It seems your point in one talk discussion is "Vedas and upanishads are central to hinduism" - accusing someone saying their views are that they are "not central to hinduism" doesn't help the conversation. What helps is giving sources that says that and help improve article. Asteramellus (talk) 14:05, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Umm actually its much deeper than this but anyways, i understand what you are trying to say. You are a good person. Have a good day :) TipTap21 (talk) 14:13, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am on a break!

[edit]

You my paranoid frienemies @Abecedare @Yamla @Joshua Jonathan.. I am on a break of atleast few months(maybe weeks)! Stop harassing random users! Jaybjayb was my only other active account. There may have been other ips and accounts blocked in past which youll never know for sure . Also, Jaybjayb was also only blocked for 72 hours. It's just that I am impatient, so I got in early. It's not like I was using this account to POV push Jaybjayb's replies or edits.I mainly come for conversations not to edit war. This account was used entirely for a different article and never once used in conjunction with Jaybjayb. Even complaint was not raised initialy. Its just Abecedare got so hurt that he took the initiative himself or herself. Anyways, stop harassing new users, especialy the new girl. They might be socks but dont dont harass them assuming they are related to me. Your opposition might not be as fringe as you think that only one guy will do everything. As i said m just an instigator. And I am glad people are becoming more outspoken! And Yamla, my old friend, dont become so pagla and deewana after me. See ya all in distant (or maybe noot so distant) future. Do meditation Joshua. Will calm you down. TipTap21 (talk) 20:29, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
