A great and grand success....

Moment of Joy!
What brought me to Wikipedia was the lack of information in the article of Meera. In mid-April 2012, after spending nearly 3 and a half months, I planned to add to those article which are seldom edited by others. Those included the Nawabs of Bengal & Murshidabad, articles related to it and soap opera articles. Soap operas are ongoing so I have to edit them daily but the article on the Nawabs is a piece of history...and I took up the work alone. Later, in May some editors helped me to fix typos and grammatical errors, but soon withdrew back their help. But, by God's grace I finished with the work today on 4 August 2012 and would love to share this success with you! My condition was same as the flying man in the pic, trying to catch a several things at the same time before it's too late. I don't know whether he succeeds or not, bu I did succeed! However, I still have to add some references and summarize the plots of soap opera articles in the soap opera articles. If you want, then you can help. Uf! GA review use h3 headings, so there is no problem in starting other discussions in talk page when GA review is continuing! In some busy articles you'll find parallel discussion during GA review! I appreciate your quick message here (actually I have been a long time admirer of the swiftness of bots). But, this was just a formatting error. An anonymous editor made some formatting error in the infobox of the article and broke it. I have tried to correct and thus the image is restored now.

Just to let you know...

That people running for RFA need to be able to show experience in the admin areas that they need to/want to work in. It's never enough to simply show knowledge of policy by their mainspace edits - people want to see that they actually have gotten their hands dirty, how they reacted when challenged, or how they applied policy. So, and RFA candidate who has never shown their face at ANI/AIV or the likes is a) not going to be recognized by the majority of !voters, and b) going to "fail" the "experience" part of the "interview".   • Current updates: The coordinator elections will be held soon! Keep your eyes on our project in mid-August for more.
  • Chennai Super Kings was selected as the FA/GA of the month, but due to lack of contributors to the article, we could not pass it as a GA. We're looking forward for contributors who are interested in the topic. The only problem with the article is to fix it's references and cite more reliable sources. If you do a lot of referencing work, you're most welcome!
  • An IRC meetup was held to discuss future plans of the project and to discuss ideas for new articles. Seven editors were a part of it. The log of the meeting can be founded here. We hope that more such meetups will talk place.
  • Our portal was launched early this month. You can find it here. We congratulate our vice-coordinator, Vibhijain, for working on this. Users are welcome to suggest new ideas to re innovate the portal and make it more customized. We also have a book, Book:Indian Premier League.
  • Knights of IPL, a new award, has been launched. It was earlier known as IPL barnstar 1. Created by User:Strike Eagle, this is the highest award given by our community, and, hence, shall never be given for completing Tasks of the month. For completing Task of the month, please feel free to distribute another award by our communnity: IPL Barnstar. To distribute it, type {{subst:IPL Barnstar}} and save the page. Please help me

Tito Dutta I came on Wikipedia to make it a better encyclopedia and my work is near end. I may not be much active for the coming weeks and the coming month. My edit count per day is going to drop. I have worked day and night to reach my goal which is not far away. I am done. I may hardly sit on the net and log in here and remove vandalism and update soap opera articles. But when I will not be there what will happen? I am saying this as there is no one else who keep vandalism away from those articles. I am alone and if I will not be there it is gone. I have asked many users for help but in vain. I hope a yes from you. Rating articles on Wiki

Hi Tito, once again thanks for all your recent edits of the recent articles that I have improved. There are over 10 articles where I have added content and need further improvements. While adding content and also citations to articles, I am also interested to start upgrading the ratings of articles C-->B or B-->A and further up. Can you suggest and explain how this may be done. Tito is taking a Wikibreak so I will be enlighting you that how to rate articles. Firstly rating on Wikipedia is known as assessing an article. Rating articles is very easy. You have to visit the article's talk page, click on edit and then change stub>start, start>C, C>B and so on. But it is not as easy as that. If you rate an article wrongly then it may be brought down back to its previous class (rate are known as class on Wikipedia). There are several classes for articles and the criteria have been mentioned here - Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment. So go ahead...! --Tamravidhir(২০১২) 11:19, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

My question, does an article need to be mid-importance or high-importance in order to make it a featured article. Also, is there a criteria for length (as most of the A or FA rated articles that I read are extremely long). -Ambar (talk) 15:04, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
The following Wikilinks may be useful to you - Wikipedia:Featured article criteria and Wikipedia:Good article criteria. By the way Featured article (FA) and Good article (GA) are themselves two separate classes. The order of the classes are like this: Stub<Start<C<B<A<GA<FA. This could be a potential DYK candidate. I think you should submit it. The hook should be on the connection with the Hampdenshire Wonder. Independence Day (Pakistan)

I saw that you reviewed the Day of India. It was actually nominated by me at WP:INCOTM page and how bad that I was not able to come around. I came to the article and saw it going for FA! BTW, I thought that if India then why not our neighbors? Thus, I eventually improved and brought this article from start to B class. That was tough job! I've taken special care of issues that you came up with at the review of Indian article, perhaps can you review this one also? Please, if possible, can you give me the detailed review by today evening so that I can make this article perfect and a GA before the clock ticks 12 tonight. I know that I'm little too late and I don't want you to skip anything as have not seen a better reviewer then you. I'm willing to resolve everything, thus can I get the detailed review by evening or midnight today? I'm not forcing you to do this but asking as a favor buddy. With a discussion of this review in progress, I've been a bit hesitant to post, but at this point I'm rather satisfied with what has been done with the article and how it currently appears. A lot of very hard and very persistent work has gone into this article, and the current version looks several times better than the version I first reviewed. I will continue to keep a close eye on this until the GAR finally closes, but with much caution to not get in the way. I am highly worried the way you are writing "pass the article". I think this can be misinterpreted and misunderstood by others WP:INVOLVED, though we are trying our best to review the article from neutral point review. I'm sorry if it was mis-understood. I made the above comments merely as a joke. Ofcourse, it should be reviewed in a neutral manner and should take the right decision either pass or fail. I don't have any kind of yearn for GAs. I improved the article from a 3-ref bad article to what it is now and it has satisfied me as people will now get a chance to read a much better article. The way you had arranged the images in the Overview of chapters is the best possible arrangement. I have restored it and moved the File:Bhagavad Gita, a 19th century manuscript.jpg from composition section to commentaries section. Is the arrangement looking less cramped now?
