Thanks for letting me know about the edit conflict. Nice citation, too. The article's comin' along there, ain't it? -- Scientizzle 17:49, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Siamese Fighting Fish[edit]

I've reverted your cut-and-paste move (where you claimed to be undoing one) of Siamese Fighting Fish to Siamese fighting fish. In case the page histories confused you, it seems the latter article was merged (not moved) to the former back in September 2005. As for some time both articles were being edited concurrently, the article histories cannot be usefully merged, which is why the latter article still has edits in its history. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 21:18, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I see I was mistaken. There was no significant concurrent editing, so I've now properly merged the histories. Sorry for the confusion. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 21:27, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Betta[edit]

thanks for the message, and thanks for the work you're doing on Betta, which I'd noticed. It would be great if we had some stuff on some of the other species... One of the problems is that aquarists who don't have any biology background often seem to think that a variety is a species, so they get confused and so does the page. If we had some clear examples of other species leading off Betta, that might help make it clear. seglea 18:06, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject: Fishes[edit]

Hi. I was wondering if you could somehow make this project not only an attempt to organize different fish taxa, but also to help write and improve many stub fish-related articles. I have seen many fish (especially carp) articles that are in need of serious editting (ie Ryukin) and I was hoping that you could also add this to the scope of the project. Thanks! Bubble nest Cleanup[edit]

Hi, I removed the tag as I have significantly improved the article. Just a question: Did you list it on Wikipedia: Cleanup? I looked at the lists and couldn't find it. It might have been automatically removed because the tag is gone. Thankyou, Jam01 00:57, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better Source Request for Image:Lepomis macrochirus.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lepomis macrochirus.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. MECUtalk 23:07, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fishes[edit]

There is a new proposal on naming conventions for fish being discussed at WikiProject Fishes. As a member of said project group your feedback would be appreciated at the WikiProject Fishes talk page here. Cheers, David. MidgleyDJ 06:59, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:IronMaidenNumberoftheBeastalbumcover.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:IronMaidenNumberoftheBeastalbumcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Greece ensign.png, by Jayvdb (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Greece ensign.png is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Greece ensign.png, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:53, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
