There's some good additions here! Try to keep the additions to the point of the article, this is not an article on nanoparticles, but an article on the particular technique, so you should not give extra details about what nanoparticles are (it is OK to give a specific dimension for nanoparticles that is typical for this technique). Rather than explaining more, have the word nanoparticles link to Nanoparticle. Another example of this is where you give some properties of silver nanoparticles, where you should link to Silver nanoparticle

Don't say "in the past years" as everything happened in the past. If there is a significant time when there was a shift, note that, otherwise leave off qualifying statements.
