Welcome[edit]

Hello, Tnminigis and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 03:13, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox stub[edit]

Hi, I think you meant to create a page in your userspace, but instead you created it in mainspace. I have moved it to your user space: User:Tnminigis/Sandbox stub. Schazjmd (talk) 01:57, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NCA Public Relations[edit]

Hi! I wanted to explain why this was moved back to your userspace.

  • Most of the concern centers around notability. For example, there's nothing here to establish why this specific department is notable as far as the organization goes or even why it should be mentioned on Wikipedia at all. It's par for the course for any sizable organization to have a PR department or division, so it's important to have sourcing that establishes why this division is notable and more importantly, why it's independently notable enough of the parent organization to be covered in Wikipedia, particularly as its own article.
  • This is pretty general. It states what the division is, then why PR is needed and why OIT fits into the field of PR study. Neither of these are really pertinent to the specific topic of this division per se, as any article or section about the PR division should be specifically about the division.
  • Be careful of tone and point of view statements. An example of this would be the statement that PR is critical. While many would definitely agree with this statement, it's still an opinion statement because it is our own statement about the importance of PR. Keep in mind that we can only summarize what has been stated in the source material and if there's an opinion statement, it must be clearly attributed to the person or organization making the claim so that it doesn't come across like we're making the claim ourselves. The statement about OIT could fall into this as well, as it comes across as us positing that it fits rather than it being based on a source and being attributed.

I hope that this doesn't get you down - don't get disheartened! It can take a while to get used to Wikipedia's writing style and guidelines - it certainly took me a while to get used to everything! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:52, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Dr. Patricia Aufderheide[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Dr. Patricia Aufderheide. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Patricia Aufderheide. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Patricia Aufderheide. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Lopifalko (talk) 20:44, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
